Amped 3

The first two Amped games were among my favorite games on the first Xbox. So I was really anticipating this game's release at first, then dreading it when I learned that the gameplay had been simplified a lot. Now that I've spent quite a few hours playing this game I can say that Amped 3 is clearly not as good as the first two games, but it's also not as bad as what I thought it would be. A mixed bag, with some huge mountains (but much slowdowns), great humor (at least if you are into that kind of completely stupid stuff) and a not so deep gameplay.

2K Sports released this trailer presenting their three launch games - NBA 2K6, NHL 2K6 and Amped 3.

2K Sports released a new bunch of Amped 3-images, unfortunately not in 720p. After playing some SSX3 earlier this week, I've stopped having nightmares about the lack of XBL-support in Amped 3. It could be fun afterall.

2K Games released this 720p-trailer of Amped 3. Looks great, but I still wake up every morning wondering - why the hell did they skip playable Xbox Live support?

2K Games put up the following 13 images of their upcoming Xbox 360 launch title, Amped 3. At least I think it looks wonderful, and I love going out on the hills (in front of the TV) and go snowboarding. But - the lack of any real Xbox Live mode is a big dissapointment.

2K Games released these images of Amped 3 during X05, but it looks like no one was paying attention at the time. As a fan of the Amped series I've been very disappointed by the new arcade gameplay of this game, but maybe the game will find a new market now.

I'm finally back from the X05. I do not have as much videos as originally planned because of a very busy schedule today, but still there should be enough footage to keep my PCs busy with encoding tomorrow. So while I'm working on the videos, here are my quick impressions of the games there.

Amped, wich has been very quiet during TGS, showcases with two new images. And from what we can see, nothing to be excited about...

2K Games released this new trailer of Amped 3, with some parts already seen during E3 but also with some new gameplay (?) sequences. Quite a change of "mood" compared to Amped 2.
