I like it

Rush sucks in Vietnam and sometimes it can be frustrating your team is horrible but I really like it a lot! I also like the payload maps in Team Fortress 2...objective based modes are more fun to me rather than capturing and defending flags

I agree. I love rush and conquest both. They are both there, so what's the issue? I don't want to always play one mode. rush is more intense and a bit bottle-necky, but it's still tactical and loads of fun...

Patch next week for Bad Company 2 :D

The game has completed Steam QA! Expect the release in the wee hours of Wednesday Sep 21st (GMT).

There will be a proper announcement on Monday Sep 19th.

Happy days.
We suspect the changelog will be the same as what it was for the beta. More information should be out on Monday when a formal announcement is made.
Removed some memory leaks
Fixed crashes when the game attempted to render lots of content (high detail, high FOV or multiple-monitor modes)
Chat window no longer causes lag spikes
Chat window reworked opacity & visibility-time is controllable through settings in settings.ini
Clantag is remembered when using auto-login
Banner URLs can be up to 252 characters in length
SecuROM wrapper removed from non-Steam version
Minor performance improvements
Reduced rubberbanding on >24player servers

You my not like it, but calling it static is not only unfair but ridiculous. (specially because the maps actually change on rush games, whereas on conquest they remain static).
Naturally it's normal that people don't like a certain gametype, but i get sick of hearing people bashing rush, for the most strange reasons. don't like it, don't play it. now don't make it sound as if it's bad, or broken or static etc, as this might dissuade people who'd probably enjoy it, from playing it.

on a funny side not, decided to get this for the PC (just upgraded my pc after playing BFBC 1 and 2 on the 360), this is the message i just got on EA's Origin:

damn I hope the patches for BF3 aren't this big :(

sucks downloading big files with my DSL, took me like 5 or 7 hours yesterday to download RE4 off PSN :(

The reasons why people hate rush are pretty well explored. Awful map balance, limited vehicle/map resources, and choke points that funnel the entire server through a meat grinder. Conquest is dynamic. Rush isn't.

I'm very disappointed that the beta is OpMetro again, but what can ya do. It will still be awesome. Featuring a MoH/BC2 style map in the "true" sequel to BF3 is a bit of a gaffe I think, but at least they're not showing all of their cards.

The maps don't change. They progress. The frontline is constantly shifting in conquest. Squads are flanking, and at its best.. it's far more dynamic. And whatever dude.. like it all you want.. but in our opinion it is bad and it is broken.

Apparently not :/ I've been a little busy but from what I've gathered it's the same map as the alpha.

It doesn't include all of the gameplay features either. I don't think we're getting commo rose in the PC beta.

I got a chance to play all 3 versions at the Eurogamer Expo in London over the weekend. The PC version looks literally unbelievable, its soo far ahead of any other game that it just seems surreal. The 360 version holds up rather well but the same cant be said about the ps3 version which seems to have lots of framerate and vsync issues. The game is awesome, everything about it feels far more rerfined than BC2.

Nice should be able to try this tomorrow. Even if i like it i don't think i will buy it. Loved BF2, but i just don't feel like play in a MP shooter for now.

Some live beta gameplay. This guy is pretty good. He's on the defending team right now, in the subway, which is basically feeding him infinite kills.. cause ya know.. chokepoints are fun!
