It's not a shit excuse. I don't have hundreds of scopes or mounts for my guns, suppression buffs, vehicle upgrades, grenade upgrades, armor buffs, reload buffs, covr buffs, ETC
When I look at that it only supports my disinterest. I don't care to earn any of it in this game

Also I realize it doesn't matter what kind of gun you wield in this game for the most part when you have all of the things I've listed. They've done a good job at making most every gun minimally different for "balance"
I realize I'm opening a can of worms with that statement, but there it is :p
You can get buffs by joining a squad. That's really the only reason they exist. They're a mechanism designed to get people to group. There are no reload buffs though. You won't care to earn unlocks if you don't care to learn or play the game. Come on Tinks. You even go so far as to claim that all of the weapons are the same, but how many have you used? Four or five? Out of the dozens and dozens of weapons in the game. Cry me a river.

And I agree. They have done a good job with the weapon balance. What a terrible thing. The irony is that the AEK is still dominant enough to make every noob in the game cry about it.

No one is really asking you to like the game. If you put a little more time into it you would probably have a different opinion. This is a bit like me trying to say what should or should be different in Natural Selection 2 with my limited experience.

Sorta ridiculous.

Battlefield doesn't need buffs to make you join groups. You're always screwed if you don't join groups

If you want to make a general argument against progression then I'll support that 100%. But let's be realistic. It's popular and it's not going away.

In the mainstream the best we can really hope for is that it's handled well and it doesn't break the game balance. And relatively speaking, BF3 handles it well.

I think about hopping back on BF pretty regularly.
Unlocks put me off a game I already have disinterest for.

I agree it's not going away. Battlefield has always had great balance for the most part, and I somewhat expect that to continue.
The route they've taken with the unlocks is cause for concern for their future.

If I do get 4, it definitely won't be early on either. They've picked up the habit of releasing unfinished, and without proper server support. 3 took forever to work correctly for everyone, and the endless hours of trying to get into games.

It's logical that in a thread about BF4, I would discuss the things that I didn't like about 3. The things I don't want to experience again.

Semi-logical. Your interest in the game isn't logical to me. You abandoned BF3 after 10 hours. You hardly touched conquest. I don't think you were ever that interested.

You hardly gave the game much of a chance.

I don't think you've really experienced BF3 much.

And that's cool. I just don't know why you'd even be interested in BF4 that being the case. I'm not into Call of Duty or Halo anymore. Won't be interested in H5 or MW5 either.

I guess I should grind 400 more hours into a game that isn't fun so you can accept the criticism

I like the franchise. 3 was just the beginning of the end for me.

Yeah, because playing the main game mode and learning the basics is the same as grinding for 400 hours. What a load of crap.

Like I said. No one is asking you to like it. Your criticism is just uninformed.

I'd rather they fix the things that are actually wrong with BF3.

It looks like BF4 also use NVAPI, but they also say BF3 use it as well. Hopefully they use it more on BF4 and somehow help to level the field between both parties.

Maxwell is probably going to be Nvidia's answer to Mantle. If they blow AMD out of the water with DirectX I doubt they'll be very worried about a proprietary API.

Which for GTX700 users is a little disappointing, since our cards are going to be outclassed in one of this/next year's biggest games despite having more physical horsepower.

I'd consider trading down if the performance difference is significant at 1080p/60hz, but it's going to have to be a huge gap.

Do you really want to play 64 player elimination? 5v5 is perfect for competition types. We played 5v5 Infantry in BF2 and the game didn't even support such a thing. This is good.

I'm certain the PC version will see bigger servers anyway. Hopefully not too big.

If there are 64 player domination servers than I expect to see large defuse servers too. They just won't be as fun :D

I just realize this are what dice recommend as player counts for each game mode. I though this were the limits each gaming mode will have. Lol so yeah we could see 10 vs 10 that I think will be perfect for defuse :P. More than that will be too much.

Yeah I think they'll mostly set a hard cap at 64 players and let admins do whatever.. like BF3.
