Don't be afraid to try lowering a couple of settings too. Remember: the ultra profile doesn't even put everything on ultra.

I did and still getting a lot of stability issues, and is not my CPU holding me off or anything. I want to try Windows 8 to see.

I doubt you'll ever see 100% efficiency.. but Windows 8 should run a little smoother. The game is demanding. That's one of the reasons I'm so excited for G-Sync. Smooth out those little fluctuations, plz.

Yeah I know the game is really demanding and is impossible to expect 100% efficiency, but I have been having some terrible stability issues on some maps. At least must maps play well. How SLI is working for you?

Alright.. but I do think it's difficult to drive this much GPU to the max @ 1080p without a ton of CPU. In this game. Until you turn the resolution scale up to 120%.

I put resolution scale up to 200% just for fun lol I was getting 2 FPS :P

I borrowed my friends Origin to DL and play BF4 on my laptop, runs extremely well, no more stuttering or anything like that and I even increased some settings on setting above than i had on BF3.
Well done DICE!

Gonna play it some more to come to conclusion if i should buy it or not today.

So after doing some reading it looks like the people who suffer a lot of stability problems on Windows 7 are Nvidia users. It looks like Ati users are not having that much problem there. It might be solve with a driver update or something. A friend of mine is going to lend me his W8 copy to try this weekend. Hopefully I get some good results and I will definitely upgrade.

Rayy, please post some detailed results of your tests here, if you don't mind. I'm building a PC probably next week and am considering getting a 760. I really don't mind somewhat reduced graphics quality, but it has to be stable running at least 60 fps. I'd appreciate it very much.

downloading it right now, still 2 hours - will play on i7-3770K with 3.5 GHz and GTX670

heard the campaign was only 4 hours ... can anyone confirm?

And it seems someone has hacked Grift's account, the real Grift would never post useless 256 color GIF's [he stated that on multiple occasions].

Been playing a bit today, campaign is quite fun. Runs very good on my rig in 1920x1200, everything on ultra except the aliasing stuff [turned it off because I'm forcing it via NVidia cp]. No stuttering and almost 60 fps all the time, even when it's really action-packed. Can't say the same for the cutscenes though, only 30 fps. Although they look like in-engine I suspect them to be videos. They look significantly worse IMO as well.

Soon I will try MP and will get my ass kicked in extraordinary fashion ;D

So many conflicting thoughts about this game. There is good. There is bad. There is ugly.

More later? One thing is for certain: Locker is better than Metro. And attachments are vital.

I like it a lot in BF3 right now too. I haven't even really dug into youtube and symthic yet. I'm just feelin' it. I'll have to try the AEK again with the same attachments.

Now that I found the right stuff to put on it, I'm finally shooting it around 20% again.

I've actually had a pretty good experience lately. It could be in my head, but the game appears more stable after over-volting (note:not overclocking) my GPU's. Less "GetDeviceRemovedReason" at least.

I'm not in love with this game. I think BF3 showed a lot more restraint when it came to stuff like progression and customization. It just makes a mess of this game. And the kits? Let's just give everyone C4!

Battlefield 3 might just be a better game. But I'm playing this instead. Shitty knife. Shitty netcode. Shitty kits. But hey it's still sorta fun.

After spending the whole weekend sick at home, finally today I was able to install windows 8. Play the game on almost all maps with 32 and 64 players and the game is now running much more better. Definitely W8 improve the game experience for me. Mind that I haven't play the game since last Thursday, so I don't know if there have been some patches that make the game run better.

I can now play on Siege of Shanghai with everything on ultra with no AA between 50 and 70 FPS. Almost every map runs stable with 60+ practically almost all the time.

I was getting driver dumps and DX crashes left and right until I over-volted my cards. I know, it sounds ridiculous. But they're the same errors BF3 throws on heavy overclocks.. and it's usually a voltage thing.

I'm crashing less, at least. My quit percentage has dropped from 33% to 19% in the last few days. Hopefully after a patch or two this thing will actually be a polished release.
