Considering how harsh Edge usually is with games like this, 8 is a great score.

I really liked the Enslaved demo, so I have no qualms with that.

maybe the full game doesnt run like a jaggy, tearing slide show? if so i'd at least be open to rent it.

i havnt dissliked a demo this much since banjoe nuts and bolts. i just hope the demo for enslaved was a very VERY old build.

All the fear I had for the combat is gone just watching through this video, very nice new abilities and it seems the combat will be much more freeform combo based once you start maxing Gabriel out!

This COULD replace as favorite game to replace Ninja Gaiden for me or atleast share the same #1 spot, have said it long time ago and the more I see it the more I think it will.

I love Bayonetta but I have done everything I needed to be done in there and I want a new game now a EPIC game and LoS seems the one!!

I have unlocked everything in NG but I am keeping it because its NG and there will be ONE day that I might go back, maybe not anytime soon at all, but one day.
As a fan of the genre it is definitely worth keeping one of the best titles in the genre in my collection, you should keep Bayonetta but trade everything else.

Though I am loving everything about Castlevania Lords of Shadow, and that new video the combat looks awesome!

I wish Greg Kasavin was working there, he loves action adventure games and he knows what to look for in good and bad and being honest about it.

I do wonder why the non-video reviews gave it 8s and 9s while the sites like GT and Gamespot (which both are shit these days, IGN follows) is hammering the gameplay design.

PS. In gamespot review the guy said the 360 version has some hiccups while PS3 dont, just a headsup.

Screw the reviews people, Look at Alan Wake for a recent example. I personally gave up on reviews now. They are merely there for entertainment purposes now, low scores are given to generate comments and fanboy fights!

Holy crap!! that is a shit score for GT, they hardly ever give a AAA game sub 8??, still think i'll pick this up though, but it better not get many more low scores like this.

Gametrailers review is one of the most stupidest ones I ever seen,the things the critique are not bad things as far as Im concerned in fact I took them as a good things not bad.

Failing a plattaforming is a bad thing now,thats basically you are blaming thegame because you suck.

Another thing what the hell happened here,since when geting lost is a bad thing? Hell I got lost for months in Ocarina of Time and hearing that in here is like that as you can get lost too and you see it as a bad thing?

Freakin times are changing,gamers along with reviewers are getting soft and stupid.

Oh well good thing they are devs out there that still know how to make a hard but fair game that if you learn how to play it you will be a badass and if you only play like GoW you will fail.

Enough sites have given this game a high score for you to know that it's worth your time. Gamespot's main criticism was that it didn't have 'its own identity'. I mean, really? What a load of bollocks that is. The video review was laughable: the guy spent 3/4 of the time talking about God of War!

Speaking of which, it kind of pisses me off that something like God of War III can get away with essentially recycling its gameplay for three iterations - as fantastic as that gameplay may be - while something like this which, although it takes from many other games in the genre, at least tries to blend them all into one complete package but gets slated for lacking originality.

Good thing I am not alone on this one, but just because Gamespot and GT is more famous in reviews than other ones people tend to listen more to them, idiots.

Sure, Castlevania has some GoW stuff in there, but the gameplay I saw it has enough originality in there to set it apart, for one is the art design, it is so much more appealing and unique than any of the God of War titles put together.

The story is much more appealing, you actually give a damn about the main character and you dont have to puke everytime you see him.
And Gabriel talks normal unlike Kratos.

The platforming and jumping, you can't judge the game for your misstakes for jumping wrong, it has happened to me atleast a few times in games such as Uncharted, Ninja Gaiden, DMC, Genji 2...etc. but I never said "oh shit wrong design, its horrible", maybe Genji 2 for its camera :P

As I said, idiot games like Modern Warfare 2 that did nothing good but wrong got such a damn praise and good words but yet a game like this shows up its all clone and nothing original because you cant jump right.

Last time I checked, God of War ripped many games as well, Castlevania, Ryga but mostly Rygar for its obvious setting, camera and weapon style. But yet nobody complains about that during the review for its unoriginality.

The majority of reviews are 8s and 9s, just because GT and Gamespot, that has been shit these days, give it low, people will still look at the most highest scores.
And considering most sites and magazines is giving it so high it is a fact that the game is MUCH better than what GT and Gamespot told us.

lots of 7.5ish scores is a little surprising is what i was saying. I do enjoy action games like this, I think I'll still try it.

Where is these "lots of 7.5-ish"? I havent seen any review, when you say lots I am expecting more than 5.

I think there is only the GT 7.9 that it could translate to 8.0 and Gamespot,thats it.
