Sath stop being so fucking paranoid, i have read all the reviews you guys have posted in this thread, along with all the comments, You can add Merstation also to that list i hear they gave it a 9, but the more i hear and read it sounds like it will be a blast to play through once and thats it, so i'll give this game a rental, 'Simples'.

Are you fucking kidding me? Like, have you even read the reviews? Out of the ones I've actually read, none of them have said that it'll only be a blast to play through once and 'that's it' - in fact it's pretty much the opposite, as the game's replay value has been more or less praised by everyone. IGN gave it a 7.5 for no real reason whatsoever, other than the reviewer's bitterness because it isn't like the Castlevania games of 10-15 years ago; Gamespot gave it the same score for pretty much the same reason, but also cited difficulty with regards to the platforming; and Gametrailers spent about 3/4 of the time talking about God of War III. Of course I'm not going to tell you how to spend your hard earned cash, but I agree with Sath: it looks like you've been thrown off by a couple of average scores by the big boys, despite the substantial number of great scores from other sites.

What seems funny to me is this:

Couple of (bad)reviews from the stupidest sites ever = Rental

But tons af awesome reviews like 9,8.5 and so = I dont care for those?

If you care about reviews ahy not make a balance then and follow Metacritic that is currently sitting in 8.5 http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/castl... that is an awesme aggregate.

This is where I dont understand why? because the negatives you found in the reviews makes you think that,considering what are they:

Not Castlevania enough?
Some deaths because player stupidity in platforming?
Game is long?
Not original enough?

I say those are pretty stupid reasons to be honest but hey its your money after all.

If we sound mad is because it seems unfair what is happening really,we all should know that reviews means shit at the end of the day.

Like I said the other day Im playing WET at the moment and I think its very fun and if you look at reviews you can pretty much by reading them not want to come near the game at all.

At least they are giving it a rent and see for themselves what about the game.

Well i think its 50/50 i read reviews and gamer comments, i check out as much footage as possible then make my choice, and thats what blackhawk has also done, so for that i agree with him. But people that just see a few bad reviews then say "ahh man i'm not getting it now", are to me people that where never going to get the game anyway.

But you and sath have to stop taking it so personal :)

I am mad at sites like GT, IGN and Gamespot gives its such bad scores because they say its not Castlevania enough, they die during platforming because its poorly made, music is not Castlevania enough...nitpicks like that.

But then they go on with games like MW2 and gives it such as 8, 8.5 and for what?
A game so buggy, a game that plays worse than COD4 and with so much hype and is pretty much a revamp of COD4...a game that had so much ad on their site, but not one single ad is from LoS.

I am not taking it so personal I am just laughing at the joke reviews that nitpicks because Castlevania is a famous franchise but yet they missed the "reboot" part.

Maybe you got the wrong impression here.

Me and raptor love this genre, but even we can disagree on many things which has happened, Bayonetta is a very fine example LOL

pretty basic combat demo but i still enjoyed it, the fixed camera on the other hand really began to jar me and i can see why reviewers slammed it, but all in all its still a buy for me.

The combat is a bit jittery, there was a few times whilst trying to pull off jump attacks that the jittery combat transitions hindered me, but its not a show stopper for me, also it seems that the combos and magic attacks will get much better and complex as you progress, at least i hope they will from the videos i've seen.

Graphics look great, but the demo is very short so i could not tell someone to go buy it off this demo alone.

The only way of pulling the enemies up is SQUARE X, once in air you can keep doing the attacks.

Its not in the demo, however, later on you will unlock a grab move that when you are in the air you can use the whip to take a hold of someone and pull them up and continue your combos...like Nero from DMC4.

The light and dark magic seems to take a big role in the game, adds more strategy to the game.
Light magic will regenerate your health when you kill enemies, but dark magic will increase your attack.

Each version of the magic usage has their own sets of move, very nice.
There are basic attacks, advanced attacks but then both Dark and Light magic has their own set of attacks that you can unlock and upgrade.

I agree with you, the demo is unfortunetly short and doesnt give you a proper way of how the combat and gameplay truly is.

But atleast you get a sense of feel how it feels when you play the game, and when you watch the 11 minutes of gameplay with Jason Isaac's voice in the background explaining and all, it gives you more stuff of knowing if it truly appeals to you or not.
