War, war never changes...
We've watched FPS' crossover with amazing success on console. Strategy has struggled but a worthy control scheme for game controllers will probably be achieved soon enough. Once that happens the genre will open up to consoles, perhaps with even console specific controls that play to the strengths of the gamepad.
I will always love the k/m even though it has become old school when compared to the increasingly more mainstream game controller that allows your friends to join in on the fun. While I continue to enjoy both control schemes, over the years the game playing experiences offered by them have become quite distinct. One lending itself to more social gaming while the other has remained a solitary experience.
I also agree with you that some PC versions of games suffer when consoles are also targeted by developers. But developers realize that it's in their best interests to make sure that their titles transition easily to console.
Besides I dont' mind the controls so much but I can see why people might and I was kind of speaking on their behalf lol.
Anywayyyyy, decided to try KUF:COD again and I think thats how it should be done control wise but with a better story and better loot lol.
I'm hoping Too Human will be good on all those fronts.
As for the rest of your post, you kind of went off on one so I think i'll just leave that :P
But It's not that I'm against keyboard and mouse either, I think the only way to play an FPS is with them, probably why I dislike them so much on console because for me it just doesn't work.
But I think this game could be pretty awesome on a console, doesn't matter because its not going to happen.
Marumaro for the WIN !!

How appropriate.

First you post messages on the Gears 2 thread that really pissed me off and now you're trying to change how Diablo plays! Jolli, you certainly know how to push my buttons.

Fair enough you don't like the point and click concept, but it served Diablo 1 and 2 well so no controller format is needed. Furthermore, no console version is needed either because Blizzard know how to make blimmin' good PC games. That's not even a biased opinion from a PC gamer because I don't even play PC games, that being due to my extremely crappy PC.

But erm, the part where the boss rips one of the barbs in two.. or rather.. eats half of him, holy shit that was cool.
:P
Marumaro for the WIN !!
lol duhh
Can't people just let PC gamers get excited? This is an earth shattering announcement. It trumps anything E3 will have to offer for many people. I don't get why some people need to try to piss on our parade here.
I was almost entirely a PC gamer until this console generation. Now I much prefer playing games comfortably relaxed in my zero gravity chair.
Also the Tyrael scene looked great on that cinematic trailer.
Gameplay video also had that funny scene with Deckard Cain. Stay a while and listen...
Heheh that old Cain rap is quite funny too :P

Original version was just an mp3 so youtube user has done that simple "video" for it.
For those that are playing their first time Diablo 2 there is good site that has lots of info about the game: http://www.battle.net/Diablo2exp/

I told my mate in work about the announcement today, and he was over the moon. He tried to fill me in on the lore :D
I'll have to try out the other two. I'm sure I've got plenty of time between now and the release to get acquainted with the franchise.
How many books are there?

Also I recommend to start characters in b.net even if you want to complete the game yourself. There is option to only allow one player to join the game (or use password). Then when later you want to play multiplayer you can join with that character to MP fun. If you started singleplayer character then you just can't use it in b.net. Well I think you can use it on open b.net but thats full off cheaters so I don't recommend it.
