Well when they say FM3 is the "definitive racing game" of this gen it leads me to believe it's their last on the 360. I wouldn't hold my breath for a FM4 on a new console, seeing what a half assed job FM2 seems to be in light of the sequel.

I'm pretty sure we'll see at least one more Turn 10 game on 360, it might not be Forza though as they hinted they're working on something else. Still, 360 has several more years to go, so I think we'll get FM4 on 360.

Your comment got me confused. You believe that FM3 will be the last FM on the 360, yet you say you wouldn't hold your breath for FM4 on a new console? Are you thinking FM3 is the end of the series?!?!!?

I think it would be healthier for the series to just hold on until next gen.......unless of course they somehow find a way to squeeze more from the 360. I think racing games are some of the games that benefit the most from new tech, and I don't know how much else they can get out of the 360 for a sequel. More content? Need bigger drives/more DVDs (it's already 2 DVD's with FM3). Other things like improving the physics, amount of cars on track, damage, overall graphics, etc etc.....at 60fps?...I don't know how much else they can get out the 360 really.

I wonder if we'll see another FM on the 360 though, it's technically possible. If not, it would surely be a launch title for the new box. I'm thinking 2012 for the new box? 2013?.........

I expect MS to announce a new Xbox somewhere in 2010, or at least see some 'leaked' news about it.. Release of a next-gen Xbox I expect somewhere arround 2011.. After 5-6 years it's time to upgrade the hardware imho, otherwise they fall to far back compared to PC hardware.. 'Old' Xbox 360 can still go on being sold offcourse, just like PS2 is now.. And yes, 2011 would also be a good time to release FM4, 2 years after FM3.. ;)

No, I mean T10 will need some time to get used to the new hardware, and especially if they're aiming for a (close to) launch release the quality will suffer greatly. I think this is pretty much evident in how FM2 looks compared to FM3, it looks like a generation leap between the two.

Ah that makes more sense, you didn't say at launch first. But you know, I don't think it should take that much to release a great looking game at launch. Just look at PGR3, who can say that wasn't the best looking racing game out there at the time, and it was able to hold on its own until........PGR4 came out. The same can't be said of Forza of course, and that came out way after launch. Turn 10 just need to get their act together/or MS should give them the resources.

That would be so awesome if true, the one in 2 confused the hell outta me, seemed like it needed tons of effort to create anything so i never bothered. If i can just rip some images onto my car though on my pc....sweet, photoshop + mouse is just so much more intuitive than using a controller.

Yep, I'd just grab a pic of my favorite anime characters and throw them on my car.

I don't have the same artistic talent as some other people. I couldn't hope to create some of the unbelievable things I see people create through the livery.

If you want to upload 720p footage of a full 2-3 minute lap or even a 7 minute lap of Nurburgring, you'll have to do it in segments since at 30 seconds the average video size is just under 50 megs or something. I need to double check. That said, you can put all of your replays (full length) on your Storefront for everyone to download and check out right off their Xbox 360. This feature is only for exporting 720p footage to your PC so you can then drop it into Final Cut Pro or Premiere and make something beautiful.

Storefronts make public to the community the following files: car liveries (the whole livery of a car), layer groups (an image or logo or whatever grouped layer you have that can be stamped anywhere and usually created using the layer group creator grid tool), photos (like you see in the pic of my storefront), tuning files for cars (our tuning community is going to love this one since tuning files can also be locked to keep that special sauce secret), and replays. Everything other than photos and replays can be sold on the Storefront with the owner controlling the inventory available until it's "sold out". You can also just put stuff up there for free. Every file type can be scored by other users and there will be a leaderboard for most popular and best rated file types, as well as a Turn 10 pick section.

I would hope for an editor to use on the PC, but I don't think we'll be able to use images. That opens a whole new can of legal issues.
