Gentlemen.
Ah well, will be worth the wait. :)
Ah well, will be worth the wait. :)
First I don't actually feel like a god in this game, I'm battling the elements the same way as my villagers. I viewed myself more or less as the person appointed as watcher or keeper of the people. That my responsibilities to them is not as a superior, but in many ways a powerful helper. As I started playing I starting thinking, is this what being guardian angel feels like? I didn't have the omnipotent abilities of a god despite my power over the landscape, and whatever I do has to be in keeping with what the villagers are trying to accomplish.
I found that at times that it's best to detach myself from the villagers in order to go about doing what was needed. Almost as if it was more important to help keep them alive than actually care about them. If that even makes any sense. lol But you WILL start caring about these little folks even when you know you can't save them from the disasters that nature keeps throwing at them. Events in the game can go from mellow to panic time in a matter of minutes. The frustration that you'll feel when you see the villagers getting wiped out is nothing short of maddening. Tsunamis and volcanoes.......BLAH!!!!
Anyway I just started after I arrived home from work, it's been a really cool experience so far. Very colorful, highly involving. Well worth the space points.
Somehow i got bit less interest on it, the constant timers look annoying, i like to take my time and enjoy. I know they are there to make game more challenging though, hope it doesn't get on my way.
Hope they add some sandbox mode DLC or something.
