Okay, just got the deathadder in the mail (didn't realize 30% of my purchase went into the packaging!).

I haven't even installed the drivers yet and this thing is super precise.
Think I'll have to tone down Windows sensitivity.

Will definitely be installing the drivers though, if nothing else just to get rid of that throbbing logo.

Ack! I tried to run the firmware update and it immediately blue-screened Windows.
Luckily the mouse has survived.

If I was a filthy rich and had no sense, I'd totally buy their top tier stuff.

There was this review on Amazon that claimed it was great for games, but no good for graphic design, but that is a complete load of bullcrap.
This thing is pixel precise in any situation, even with my homemade "packing tape on binder board" mouse pads (which are great, btw, the only caveat being that you need to make a new one every year as the moisture eventually ripples the tape).

They must not have installed and adjusted the driver settings correctly.

It's sorta hard to say.. I can't really remember how long they've been sorta shitty. I've put literally thousands of damned game hours into these feet though. They've got some mileage.

Having an extra pair wouldn't be a bad idea. I would have replaced mine long ago if I had a replacement set handy and it was convenient to do so. It's also sorta odd, but only one pad is really worn down.. but that's enough.

I`ve had my Deathadder for years now and it never misses a beat!

Great gaming mouse!

I did find it weird how, until I had my dedicated right-handed Adder, I never realised just how uncomfortable normal mice could be.

I got a Logitech G500 very recently, the "hyper-scrolling" is a very effective feature especially for long documents or lists. Love all the crazy DPI options it has on the side, the weights, and how accurate it is on any surface e.g. beds.

I think the feet aren't deep enough in the first place; the middle of my mouse is all scuffed.
I may get another set of feet and put them on top of the current ones, just to raise it up.

how did they not notice that?

there goes another ten bucks.

Been happy with my LOGITECH MX518 for 3 years now, i Usually only play FPS like left 4 dead or Battlefield, but it handles pretty well for starcraft 2 aswell.

yeah, those pads are really shallow on the Razer mice. Consider your purchase about 10 bucks more expensive to keep it from rubbing the surface.

Been very happy with MX518.

Could use couple extra buttons but not on the side as i need place to keep fingers.

I would add the buttons in the area where 1st and 2nd mouse buttons are on mouse, just closer to palm so you can easily click them by bending your first and middle finger towards the palm.
