GTA V: Gameplay Trailer

I have it pre-ordered. But in an ideal world they'd announce a next gen version before the current gen version releases. If the improvements where substantial though (and assuming the game is actually good), i'd probably double dip. If it was just a resolution increase. I'd just stick to the PS3 version. And wait on GTA6 on the PS4.

There's no way they'd redo the textures and up the res for the geometry and characters. If it releases on next gen, it'll just have a solid 60fps at 1080 with maybe some refined AO and AA injector thrown in there.

That wouldn't be enough. It'd be enough to make it a clear and obvious choice if given the choice. But certainly not enough to double dip.

There's no way in hell they're going to announce next gen or a pc version before their planned release date, Double dipping is the only answer unless you're not to bothered about it or have mad restraint skills.

Uh.. almost all of Rockstar's games are on PC. Including every GTA game. So "most of the time" it is.

Have you played GTA4 on PC? Even without mods it's insane how much better it looks and plays. It will be plenty enough. Well, it's enough to make me hold off for a modern release of GTA5. I won't be playing this on my graphing calculator or whatever this thread is about ;)

I really don't think that R* will prepare a next gen version of this, they are know for pushing things forward so I belive they will prepare a completely new engine for their ps4/x1 titles. They have too much class for moves like that. PC version - sure, like every other GTA game since the 3rd instalment - they will announce it sooner or later.

Also, they got LA geography all wrong. LA Noire's team got it almost pin point accurate. Wonder why they chose to make some sort of fantastical fusion here.

Very true but you never know they might surprise especially if demand is high. Also I wouldn't be surprised if they adapted the RAGE engine for the Next gen consoles.
