Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

Be careful Phaeth, we would hate to have to attack you next. :) On a more serious note, I can kill Knights far more easily than they are able to kill me, even on Legendary difficulty. Can they be a challenge under certain situations? absolutely, but it's never so much where I think it's cheap. And, really, it makes sense for Prometheans to be more badass and threatening than the Covenant, and so I don't mind so much. I like that they display superior teamwork and overall capabilities over the covenant. It makes it feel all the more enjoyable when you win.
In fact, in instances where you were purposely set up to feel absolutely overwhelmed by the sheer force of the Prometheans coming at you, that was largely to the benefit of the overall game experience, story and character development. It isn't good to have too many such overwhelming gameplay moments, but it's good to have some of them. One instance that falls under this criteria is when Cortana's rampancy had her take far longer than normal to open up that door to the LZ, and then immediately after the door was opened, the game reinforced what certainly had to be most player's general feelings about that moment in the game, which was more or less "wow, Cortana is taking forever to open this fucking door. I'm getting my ass kicked here," by having Cortana apologize for it taking so long, and stating that it isn't okay for her to be so inefficient at aiding the Chief.
Another instance is when the onslaught was so brutal that 343 had to make Cortana go apeshit with the defensive guns on the Didact's ship to help us slaughter all the prometheans coming at the Chief. It's effective and appropriate, rarely cheap. Frustrating at times? Sure, but I love a challenge. There are times when challenge can be truly excessive and cheap, and those games usually fall under the weight of their own incompetence. But, I consider myself pretty damn good at most every game I play, so my threshold for too difficult or cheap is pretty damn high.
ManThatYouFear, I have just contacted the Halo council on your sinful statements, starting with "Me no play Halo 4 ever." (I dare not quote the rest) I'm still awaiting their conclusion on how you should be punished. Please private message me with your current location so that we may come collect you at our leisure. Thanks, and I appreciate your cooperation on this very serious matter.

When the covys come out its way more fun gameplay wise more tactics to use on them.. knights are just huge ass bullet sponges unless you plasma bolt them and then BR/DMR them, but even then there huge sponges.
Yes they are meant to be more threatening and bad ass and challenging i understand that.. what i'm arguing is there not "fun" there less "fun" than the flood (PS i love the flood, but most players hate them so just using that as example for average player)
Do not attack me like a troll, it's a vaild complaint one which many a fan of the game will also admit to.
Just because you love/enjoy something does not mean you can not criticize it.
Please do not give me this "learn 2 play" shit, i may be struggling with the pace of MP but i'm still a way above average player.
Would not be 12 games from level 130 if i was a fucking spastic.

This comment is not meant to offend you, I am just pointing out that a fully-blown-spastic would perfectly be able to reach the level cap...
The Xbox doesn't even need YOU to level up in Halo4. All thats necessary is a steady power supply...

The learn to play part of my response is obviously a joke. Don't take that seriously. And there are numerous tactics you can utilize on knights. I think what's going on, really, is that, whether you realize it or not, you have an innate fear of the presence of a Promethean Knight, and just don't choose to take certain chances against them like you would with the Covenant, and if you did, you would realize that the Prometheans have a variety of ways that they can be combated and challenged, and are incredibly fun to fight against. I was initially intimidated myself, afraid to do the same types of things to the Promethean Knights that I had become accustomed to doing against the Covenant over the years.
The Light rifle destroys Knights, so does the Incineration cannon, as does the scattershot, as does the storm rifle, the suppressor, cov carbine, the saw, dmr, you name it. The secret to the Knights is to never go into a fight with any of them expecting to finish them off fast with a single gun and a single clip from that gun without fully planning on ignoring the reload on the first gun you engage them with once it runs out of bullets, and then quickly switching to another gun to finish the job in rapid fire pace. They are by no means bullet sponges. They are far too interesting and fun to fight and take on to ever be considered such a thing. They just require a different kind of strategy than the Covenant. Use the first gun to knock off those shields of theirs and weaken them to the point that they give off the obvious impression that they are in trouble, and once you see that be relentless as hell. Go after them with a gun that fires bullets rapidly, and you will eat the Knights alive. The intention when fighting the Knights is that by the time you usually get them to this vulnerable state, you have already run out of all the bullets in the first clip of the initial gun you engage them with, so you ignore the reload and jump to the next gun to make short work of them.
I was originally afraid to engage Knights the same way I engage Covenant, too, but once you get over that mental roadblock, they become crazy fun to fight.

With Promethean Knights, it's all about the 2 gun strategy.

A nice little thing I haven't noticed before, is that you can actually see how damaged their shields are. They start glowing blue-ish the longer you shoot at them until their shields finally pop.
I also found that the light grenades are highly effective against them. When they throw a grenade, just counter throw at them and finish them off with a clip of the surpressor!

Plus been s though there the same strategy to take down as elites, makes it rather tedious after a while, i prefer flood due to there overall flow of gameplay is vastly different to covys, there is no hiding no fucking around they just swarm your ass.
Covys and "promethians" are the same to fight, except i just think there lacking
Knights same as Elites just more souless and the elites dont 1 shot you unless they have sword, then well.. that's your fault no one elses.
Crawlers same as grunts just bit faster and better shots but no where near as interesting
Watchers are drones but more annoying... and drones were a shit desperate addition anyway.
Plus this is my opinion, if it grates you that much, see a therapist.

I feel this is so because most Halo game enemies, with the exception of Hunters, I can demolish with a single clip from most guns in my possession. And even if I didn't kill them with one clip, I will not have missed my opportunity to do so effectively if I don't immediately switch to a backup gun. With a Knight, if you don't switch to a new gun after your clip runs out and go after them almost immediately, you seem to have all but wasted all the effort you put in prior, because you are firmly back to square one against that knight. I'm sure I'm not the only person to have noticed this. You always run out of bullets right at the very instant that you know you've just downed a knight's defensives with most guns in Halo 4. That isn't so with an elite or any other enemy in Halo, I feel. With Knights, I think that design aspect of how you fight them was far more intentional than coincidental.
Pfft, look at you fanboys getting all excited over a new Halo game, based on one impressive piece of concept art.

Spartan Ops' second half mixes up the locations as well, with 343 promising plenty of new and unexpected areas to lay waste to Covenant and Promethean forces. The way these environments unfold in Episode Six feels much more akin to an actual Halo campaign -- open-ended environments with more of that sandbox freedom -- than the recycled, mostly enclosed wave-based arenas from Episodes 1-5.
This is because 343 is taking advantage of its own resources -- with campaign designers and animators no longer working on the core Master Chief portion of Halo 4, they're more readily available to help create better, more interesting add-on missions for Spartan Ops. The studio's using more of its talent to make Spartan Ops better -- and it is absolutely working.

And that all seems good, just so long as it doesn't take place on the same 6 levels repeatedly.
Also, in fairness, I've never been nearly as bullish about Spartan Ops once I've actually played it as I was about the SP campaign after playing that. I feel the campaign lived up to all the potential and promise, and Spartan Ops, while nice for a distraction, didn't. Hopefully with this incoming season of content, and with the shifting of dev responsibilities, we'll get a far more high quality product, but by no means am I expecting it to approach the quality level of the campaign.
