I'm also happy about the snow section. Usually enjoy snow sections. It's hilarious to see a few on GAF using these shots to say how bad the graphics are, as if you can really tell ANYTHING from shots this horrible.

Also, here is apparently some leaked gameplay of the game, in similarly horrible quality.

The video quality is terrible, but Yeah its so much faster and fluid, and that sword assination looked awesome, and weapon swaps look faster also.

Yep, the gameplay does look pretty damn good. Even with the crappy quality video, it makes me all that much more excited for the awesome that will no doubt be the singleplayer campaign.

That first pic posted looks like the crash site for the Forward Unto Dawn.

Promethean Vision!?

As if we really needed any bigger hint.



Promethean represent the highest possible mutation level of a Forerunner Warrior Servant.

This is going to be so good. And I wonder what this potentially means for the Chief if he's expected to have such ability. Is it possible that he's going to maybe undergo some forerunner type enhancement? Or perhaps it's Cortana who is going to advance to a whole new level for a human made AI, thus granting the Chief these kinds of abilities?

One would think that he would have to have some of the Promethean mutations or enhancements to be able to keep up with them. I don't know if we'll see a 13ft Master Chief, but I'm sure he's going to undergo some of the warrior caste's mutations.

Or maybe it won't be the Chief at all, maybe the "new Spartan" (our Spartan) will be the one who makes the "change" I don't know but I'm expecting that Halo 4's story will be broken into two parts the way Halo 2 was between the MC and the Arbiter. I know alot of people didn't like the Arbiter but I thought it was good story telling. We needed an inside POV of the Covenant that only someone like the Arbiter could have provided. In this case I think the Infinity will be where the new Spartan's story jumps off, there's alot going on with Halsey, ONI, the UNSC and remnants of the Covenant. Someone else is going to have to be the protagonist while the MC is doing what he's doing.

Well, the inclusion of the Infinity and the Spartan 4s -- which are already confirmed for Halo 4 -- will certainly lead to some very interesting story developments, no doubt about that. The way forerunners are able to basically assimilate the entire memories of whoever it is that overseas their mutation to another form, might just be something that the Chief can take advantage of in some shape or form, not through the Chief himself undergoing mutations, obviously, but perhaps through Cortana somehow becoming a far more advanced artificial intelligence, on par with the most advanced of Forerunner AIs, or potentially even on par with the gravemind.

Practically anything is possible, really. I expect Cortana to grow to the level of a Contender Class AI, or potentially even beyond that.

Well, to be fair, this is no longer Bungie that's developing the Halo games. However, no way do I expect the singleplayer to be split up between two separate characters. However, I certainly expect a few surprises here and there throughout the trilogy, but I don't exactly expect them to occur in Halo 4.

Microsoft was the ones that did not like it been split, not so much bungie, MS know people want the chief.

There's a very good chance that "Master Builder Faber" might be an enemy, or somehow involved in this new trilogy, and it's kinda cool, I think, that the Chief is also called "Master Chief" :)

Gives him a kind of rank seemingly equaling that of easily the most socially powerful people in all of Forerunner Civilization. The Builders are basically treated like royalty by comparison to other ranks, it seems.

Halo : Primordium Spoilers Wow, it seems that the captive on the last human stronghold planet is the one who actually might have given the Human race the secret on how to make themselves immune to the flood, or how to fight the flood. He is supposed to be the last of the Precursors. That's what he told the Didact. It also seems like he wanted revenge on the Forerunners for wiping the precursors out before they had a chance to do just that to the Forerunners. And Riser literally seems immune to flood infection. That's crazy! And it seemed that some other humans were as well. Maybe this is secretly why the Librarian favored humans so much. She seemed to know that they not only had very important knowledge that was key to stopping the flood, but were maybe also the genetic key to stopping the flood as well.

And, plural... more than one Ark!?


I wonder if it secretly won't necessarily just be the forerunners that we face in Halo 4, but also maybe some Precursors as well? Maybe there are many more of them out there than just this one Primordial.

Wow, I had already enjoyed Glasslands, and absolutely loved Cryptum, but, wow, Halo : Primordium is so damn good. I want a damn movie of the thing lol. Such a deep and interesting universe, with so many cool little secrets. Just when you think you won't give a damn about a specific character, you're proven wrong.

Pretty badass, funny and sad all at the same time.

Well, the forerunner trilogy is definitely different from previous Halo books. It's filled with, quite possibly, more far reaching, galaxy spanning adventure and discovery than any other Halo book that I've read, and due to this fact, there can be pretty decent stretches of detailed description of the travels the characters are undertaking, without really knowing where they are going, and what they will find when they get there. However, once they arrive at a particular spot of importance, suddenly you're glued to the book and can't stop reading.

If I had to find something to compare it with from previous Halo books, it would have to be the early goings of the elite side of the story in Glasshands, but before you actually gave a damn about what was happening there and about any of the characters. However, I'd probably have to give the edge in overall awe and impressiveness of what I'm reading to Cryptum and Primordium, even though I love Glasslands to death as well.
