Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Gamespot had a live demo of Halo 4 SP, and even the menu looks unbelievable.
Skip to 3:20:20 to see the hotness.
You also spot some sort of manta ray looking alien species in the forest as 343 guy was looking around. It was floating right up above in the middle, the part before where Cortana says they aren't alone.
Oh wow!!! That Forerunner shotgun can ricochet multiple shots off the environment.. Imagine the gameplay potential :o. It doesn't just richochet in one particular direction on a single shot, it can go off in multiple directions, and then ricochet off of a number spot in the environment from the same shot. Damn :D

Thruster pack
Apparently it isn't the same as the jetpack. This just speeds you up, kinda like those badass promethean knights were speeding over to you as they were. Glad the chief is going to have similarly badass abilities :D

Here was a leaked shot of supposed tactical packages or what not.
Then, based on this, a gaf poster that did some squinting told people what was said, and made some educated guesses as well.
Tactical Package are secondary perks that should affect gameplay as well but are not active abilities:
- Firepower allows two primary weapons
- Resupply probably lets you carry max ammo from the beginning or resupply during battle (but that would not be a passive ability, so I think it's something like the former)
- Grenadier is pretty obvious, carry 4 grenades right from the start
- Awareness warns you when there's someone coming really close either with a sound or showing on the mini-map
- Shielding is hard to know, but I'd guess it makes the player receive less damage when taking headshots or when taking explosive damage (think flak jacket)
- AA Efficiency... well, it might be easy to figure out if we knew what AA stands for, but perhaps Anti-Armour? I'll take a wild guess and say it does more damage to vehicles
As for Armour Abilities (which could also be the AA above):
- Promethean Vision is the see-through-walls we heard about
- Regeneration Field sound obvious, think Regenerator from Halo 3
- Hologram and Active Camouflage are the same
- Hardlight Shield must be some kind of temporary Overshield like that orb from H3
EDIT: It seems Hard light is the Forerunner technology that creates the doors and bridges in Forerunner strucutres, I guess it's some kind of deployable shield, then.
- As for the Thruster Pack, I'm pretty sure it's not like the old Jet Pack. The Halo Wiki mentions it being less advanced and less efficient than Antigravity Packs, the Jet Packs used by the Covenant. I'd say it's for hovering while going forward a bit faster than normal on regular maps and more efficient in zero gravity areas.

And perhaps it just comes down to how they handle the balance, I suppose. The good news, though, is that everybody, fairly easily should have access to these things as well, and it then it just comes down to what people decide to use, but the armor abilities all seem be available to everybody from the start. Only those tactical packages or whatever might be unlockables.

It's hard to consider that a deal breaker when everyone else is doing it, but I hate seeing Halo play follow the leader. Bungie never followed. Nearly every little quark that every other shooter has adopted this generation came from Halo.
It does look nice.

"If you were worried about Halo 4’s mysterious new enemy race not living up to the series’ signature impressive AI, you can breathe a sigh of relief. These guys are going to offer plenty of challenge for Halo players both new and veteran."

As most of you know Spartan Ops (SPOPS) is a episodic co-op experience. Episodes are released periodically with new missions and CGI stories. First you are presented with a story CGI scene. The build I played had 'motion comic', which was a place holder. I'm not going into detail about story, but the in terms of scope it seemed very ambitious. Playing Spartan Ops was a blast. As someone who got bored with Firefight after a month or two I can see myself returning to SPOPS to visit new locations and experience new stories. The mission I played was as ambitious as you would expect from campaign. I played with three other players and we had to work together to make our way through the level. We fought both Covenant and Promethean ai. Fighting against the Covenant felt great, but when I first starting taking on Promethean enemies I felt like I had to hug the closest person around me. Promethean's, Knights in particular, were some of the most thrilling ai opponents I have ever fought against. I consider myself a component Halo player and I was being slapped around and out smarted. Knights dodge, evade, advance, and are just completely unpredictable and super lethal. David, who was kind enough to walk me through the mission, pointed out that we weren't seeing the entirety of their battle prowess. Consider me wowed. I will sum this up by saying that Spec Ops isn't some Firefight mode in a contained map with tacked on story. It played like a campaign mission and in terms of story it seemed to be as ambitious as a campaign. Spartan Ops was definitely a highlight for me. I would like to point out that on my first play through of Spartan Ops I could of sworn I picked up a grenade type that wasn't a plasma or a frag. What I threw was orange, but I never encountered it again. I also had the chance to use the scatter shot, which I'll talk about a little later.
