Okay, okay, I googled the guy, and it says on IMDB that he's apparently most known for the movie Serenity and that soap opera one life to live, and that he's on some show named Castle. Heard of it, but never actually saw an episode.

I thought Serenity was awesome, but never really remembered him beyond that movie. I'm guessing Castle must be pretty good though? :)

Haha, I just pay attention to the characters and story of the overall universe. I don't really focus much on who the voice actors are. But, of course, I know who the voice actors for the chief, cortana and the arbiter are, but beyond that, I don't really pay attention to the rest.

Then, of course, Conan O'brien will be a voice actor in Halo 4. There may be other voice actors that I've read about in the past, but I've never really made a point to remember them all :P

@Szaromir: I constantly hear about shows like that, but just never get around to actually checking them out. I'm just going to set aside a day one of these days and finally get organized on all the shows I need to either finish watching or begin watching. It always bugged me, for example, that I never finished Battlestar Galactica, despite loving every second of it.

I also thought the release date was kinda irresponsible, too, at first, but at the end of the day, what brings me comfort is the very simple thought that if you choose to go out and grab and play Halo 4 at the expense of voting on election day, then you probably don't take voting very seriously to begin with, and wouldn't have voted on election day anyway, Halo 4 or no Halo 4, regardless of who you choose to support in November.

I want Halo 4 bad, and I mean really bad, but if I had a choice between the two things, voting and getting and playing Halo 4, and there was no possible way that I could have both, I would choose to go out and vote in a heartbeat. It's way too important. People say this kind of crap all the time, but this election is literally the most important one ever. This election isn't about personalities or simple disagreements on minor policy differences. It's about what kind of behavior we as a country expect from our elected leaders, regardless of who is in the White House, or who controls which chamber of congress. Some of what has been going on inside congress makes you realize that, with elected leaders like this, this country does not need enemies.

Don't even get me started on the calculated effort by a certain political party to force the country into its first ever default on its debt in history in order to damage the economy. The calculation was sickening. If things go to shit, nobody will remember the name of the pricks in congress that caused it, they'll blame the guy at the top. If the wrong person wins this election, that type of behavior is vindicated and rewarded. You have people saying no disaster aide for victims suffering from natural disasters until they get politically motivated spending cuts to things like health care and clean energy. You've got people more than willing to let rates double on millions of college students. You've got people fighting tooth and nail to preserve tax cuts for the wealthy, but were more than willing to let tax cuts on the middle class expire, until they were shamed into doing the right thing. You have people who were against the 9/11 first responders bill, until they were shamed into doing the right thing. You've got people proposing cuts to low income home heating assistance at the start of winter... You've got people who say they are against abortion (so am I), but for some odd reason want to strip away the money needed to help take care of these children who are born and being raised by very poor, often single, parents.

I would very much like for some sense to be knocked back into some of these folks, so the crazies can crawl back under whatever rock they came from, and the more sane individuals, who can disagree without trying to outright sabotage the country for political gain, can feel safe to work with the other side. And, most of all, at the heart of why things have gotten so bad, is that you just have a lot of people who can't accept the thought of a black guy or a black family in the White House. It's a crime against everything they believe in. Not everybody who doesn't like the President is motivated by this, but too many of them are, and that's the problem. When he's not a muslim this week (as if there's something wrong with being a muslim...), he has a fake birth certificate and isn't an American citizen the next. It sickens me to my core, and the biggest way to repudiate these people is to put him back in there for another 4 years, but thankfully my vote isn't motivated solely on my dislike for such individuals. I feel I have something/someone to vote for and that I genuinely believe in, and am not simply voting against something or someone. He is by no means perfect and error free, but he's the right person for the job at the right time, and it's a miracle that this guy has been able to get anything done at all with the kind of obstructionism he has had to deal with. But, alas, that's enough politics out of me. Back to Halo.

But get out and vote. If you like Romney, go vote for Romney. If you like Obama, go vote for Obama, but please don't stay home because of a damn game. No game, not even Halo 4, is that important. :)

C'mon dude. You certainly have a very valid point about the importance of voting, but your one-sided take on the situation is not something that needs to be discussed in these threads. We all have our interpretations of events, and coming from the other end of the spectrum I think you are way off base and disregarding, misrepresenting, or oversimplifying massive amounts of facts, motivations, and events. On both sides of the "aisle". I don't come here to read a political blog. I do like your passion, though ;).

And since they were careful to point out that crawlers are the most abundant "native" enemy on Requiem, this means there's a very good chance that there's an enemy type that is even more plentiful, but is just not actually a native of Requiem. I'm guessing, and hoping, for Precursors.

Hate to break it for you, but from the outside perspective the US election is largely irrelevant. The US will continue to lose significance and the debt will keep rising. Surely if one of the sides is very incompetent, they can f*ck up many things under their administration, but I suspect they're largely the same.

I don't know how voting looks in the US, here it's a 15 minutes affair so I've always voted so far. But if it meant losing a precious day of my life then I'd rather play Halo.
