I wanted to read a review which did not give it top score.

I decided for CVG.

Skimming through it, I read: "The only thing stopping it from being the best shooter of 2004 was Half-Life 2, which still has the best FPS campaign ever made".

HL2 campaign is bad and CVG should feel bad!

I have not played HL2 when it was released, only watched a friend playing big parts of it. Kinda felt boring even back then.

I later (2009 or so) bought the Orange box myself, and playing HL2 felt like playing a boring, overly staged, physics demonstration with many design flaws, whereas Halo2 is still fun to play despite it's bad graphics and glitches.

I am not saying that Halo 2 is a better game, simply because the Source Engine was Impressive back in the day, but HL2 was NO FUN AT ALL!

Saying that HL2 has still the best fps campaign (of all the fps out there) made the entire review worthless (at least for me).

Agreed. Thgough Halo 2's campaign isn't to good compared to the rest of the series.
