I thought you couldn't have XP and Vista running together? Or was that just for the upgrade version of Vista? Yeah, I think that's it.

Since you have another drive and are planning on having both running on one, I recommend you install the OS's on one drive and all your games in the other drive, and also have the page file there.

Bah I can't find a way to create a partition on the same hard drive that I have Vista installed on so I'm just going to go back to using XP on a seperate hard drive and totally go back to XP.


My Vista install will still be totally intact and if I ever want to use it again all I need to do is put my vista cd in have it boot my pc up and just do a repair on vista (which takes 5 seconds last I did it) to make my main hard drive with Vista installed on it be the boot up drive.

BG2 is Bioware's best game (though not the best IE game, that of course is Torment).

What?!!! Gameplay mechanics aren't everything, I mean, Jade Empire was definetely not that revolutionary to call it the best Bioware game. Numer 1, Bioware games are story based, the gameplay is mapped around the story, not the other way around as in most games (and the gameplay is still often more fun in Bioware games). Number 2, for an RPG, Jade Empire was fairly shallow: 25-30 hours of gameplay, far less items than in many games, and optional side quests and distractions were far too few. All in all, the game was amazing, but it just felt...rushed.

Kotor is so much better on XP. I had to start from scratch couldn't get my save files over.

As a heart attack. The story was weak, the game was much more linear than kotor, the game had much less customization than kotor, it was shorter, the level up system was crappy and even though there were many fighting styles, the actual combat was extraordinarily shallow. The game was still good I guess but it is no where near Bioware's standard.

I dunno, i just prefered the style and the combat in jade empire, but i'm a big fan of classic chinese martial arts so thats probably why :) lol i just saw a review on IGN for Jade Empire 9.9/10 maybe a little extreme but for me the game was awesome

I can't believe what I just found out on that ship when I came face to face with Malek! Then the following scene afterwards on that ship as all the people on board were in total shock as to who I was then each going down the line pledging their allegiance to me.

Man this is really damn cool I think this game easily tops FF7 without a doubt :)

Haha I must say though Malek really did look like the apprentice facing off against his master in that showdown I was toying with him just as badly as I do with any other dark jedi. Pretty pissed about bastilla though. I wasn't too sure about Canderous before, but now I know I can trust him lol.

maybe the ff7 comment is much, but wow incredible game easily one of the best I've ever played.

Nah come to think of it this is just as good as final fantasy 7 if not better. It's incredible. I put it on equal footing or better than my favorite game ever :)


ff7 not having the amazing voice acting that this game has detracts from the experience greatly and of course the dialog system is amazing as well. Plus there is more ways to do things in kotor. Kotor is a masterpiece pretty much.

Ajunta poul or something like that... what amazing voice acting and dialog. There was one line he mentioned where I just wished I had a pen handy :D

I think that ajunta pol guy was actually being voiced by Darth Sidious from Star Wars.

Oh and to my surprise Liquid Snake's voice actor is in the game too lol. During the trial on manaan when I heard him talk I instantly thought THATS LIQUID!!

I love hearing Malak talk he sounds so cool. Ever since my encounter with Malak I've pretty much been fearless.

I would hope bioware is making the third game. I heard the second game wasn't as good as the first? Still top notch though right?

You know my ONLY complaint about Kotor?

I wish the newest things you got in your inventory were closer to the top or atleast each type of item were spread out into different categories so it would be easier for me to check through the list and find things.

Even so I dont see that as worthy of a point deduction of course. Man when I got that rock out my way in ajunta's tomb and those droids started shooting at me it was so incredible my 3 jedis were deflecting practically all laser beams that came at them. Its such a cool thing to see to see. Kotor actually reminds me of why I love turnbased rpgs so much. Sure I'm not the one controlling the deflecting of those beams or in control of what type of attack animations I do during battle, but it still manages to feel so rewarding. I felt like this during ff7, but of course not everyone will like how things were done in ff7, but with kotor I'm surprised a game like this didn't do halo or gta numbers it deserves it.

Its funny though ever since I started playing it whenever I had relatives come over they all found the game to be horrible thinking more talk than action, but thats just because they never see me when I'm in some huge fight. Even so when I was in a cool fight with a dark jedi they were thinking why the pausing? I'm like to be more strategic to make sure I win. Guess they're the type that like those full on action games. But its so annoying though when you're trying to get across to people looking on how amazing the game really is. One of them said to me 50 cent's game is better and I wanted to tear my hair out I was like "WHAT!!" I was of course the odd ball in the whole thing because I was the only person in the house against like 8 other people that was disagreeing with 50 cent's game being better than kotor.

Beat the game around 6 this morning man what an incredible game. Its like the moment I met up with Bastila after the altercation on the Leviathan I couldn't stop playing had to finish it.

Man I enjoyed all those fights on the starforge and I pounded Malak into the ground so badly he never stood a chance :)

Bastilla was crazy stubborn though I thought I was going to have to kill her or something, but I got through to her.

I had the same with Shenmue 2 - I started it playing at 8pm and didn't stop until I finished the game at 6 am. That was a real hardcore session

How many times did you die before actually beating Malak? It took me about 15 times at highest difficulty level (games was painfully easy other than the final fight though).

Yea the game isn't that hard, but it has its moments where it can surprise you and you'll see yourself close to death or actually dying if you aren't careful. I really enjoyed all the fights in this game.

I died against Malak 3 times until I came up with a strategy. I used my Jedi speed to bring the fight further away from one of those captured Jedi he was drawing his power from to make sure that when it came time for him to run away he had quite a ways to travel so I had the time to heal myself with medpacs before he came after me again. Then I was pretty much forced to go dual lightsabers on him because to me this fight was no longer purely about power, but who could get in the most amount of hits faster and so I pretty much overwhelmed him from then on.

Force immunity helped me bigtime as well. One mistake I wont be making again is I had my other jedis using Stasis Field for me and so I never decided to give my character the force ability. I'm pretty sure that would've really come in handy against malak. Also I just couldn't bring myself to try any darkside powers my light side was totally maxed out till you saw some bright beams behind my character.
