Just saw The Avengers, it wasreally good actually. Good mix of action, comedy and drama. Also i liked that the action was decently paced. You could actually keep track of who was doing what.

Lack of Thor was pissing me off, he didnt do shit based on his title as a demi god. Only thing worth a damn from him was the super lightning attack through the hammer, but he didnt do crazy stuff like in Thor movie where he fought Destroyer.

Movie was seem to focus more on Iron Man and Captain America while it was less on Thor, especially when his brother was the main villain.
I think if they made more epic moves to Thor to show off in the movie he would stand out more, but all of his stuff was just too simple minded.

But yeah, overal the movie, its my favorite superhero movie up to date, really loved it.

I think they all got enough attention. I mean i understand why they wouldn't want Thor or Hulk to get too much camera time as, to be fair, they make the other guys look like shite in terms of powers. I mean captain america munches steroids and has a shield, hawkeye is really good at shooting a bow and Black Widow is...uh...sexy :P

Captain A is meh tbh, i did like his serious and loyal attitude, which i appreciate in a character. Good that he stood up to Mr Stark lol.

But yeah, Hawkeye was ok, nice shots, like Legolas lol...but more manly haha.
Black Widow...sexy.

Thats the thing, all of them suck compared to Thor and Hulk so there. Hulk got some great scenes, even better than Thor IMO.

So good.. I think it's still my favorite movie this year, even. Joss is on fire. The Avengers was awesome too.

Old one here, but i just watched strange days with ralph fiennes (voldemort). Really good, albiet typical 90's hokeyness. Cool premis too. Was a bit drawn out towards the end, and it became kinda predictable at the half way point. But overall i enjoyed it. Was interesting to see the movie fatboy slim sampled for "right here, right now" too. Some good tunes in there too.

and it would of just been thor 2

i did not think they concentrated on iron man that much, not as much as i expected, i believe they all got there moments.. even captain americas number 1 fan :)

And any comic fan should know that this is a pointless argument. There are balance of power issues in every superhero ensemble period. The X-men, The Avengers, The Justice League. How many times have Superman and Batman teamed up? Indeed, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and The Hulk all fight in this movie to illustrate that no one has the absolute upper hand. If this doesn't jive well with your idea of how a god should perform in combat, tough shit, it's not real.

No i really don't have a problem with it at all. I just find it a plausible explanation as to WHY a character like Thor or the hulk aren't the center of attention, even though they should be the strongest of them all, the other heroes need time to shine as well.

I seen Avengers already and Thor, so I want Thor 2 so they can go overkill on his abilities which lacked big time in Avengers since Thor was the only one I cared for.

Screen time?

The Director decides who he likes best, but it's likely decided by popularity.
Iron Man is naturally going to get the most attention since it's 1- Robert Downey JR and 2- those movies made the most money.
Also take into account that more time has been invested in Hulk (2 movies) same with Iron Man, than any other character in the Avengers film.
All the other Marvel characters (Thor, Capt) felt like rush jobs just so they could simply get to this Avengers release.

Black Widow and Hawkeye will likely not see individual films, so they get less air time. Hulk is probably getting a sequel the soonest.

Avengers is a near perfect comic book film hands down for it's type of comic movie. To me it all felt well balanced and orchestrated in a way that felt good. Any problems with it just feels like nit picky complaints to me.
For instance, I think Captain America shouldn't wear a mask because he looks fucking stupid. Someone must agree since he loses it so much during the movie. They should just do away with it in my opinion.

Honestly, wouldn't mind another hulk movie. The animated hulk makes me cream my little CGI pants. It's so f***ing well done it's amazing.

Thor was an awful movie, so were both Hulk films. It's like comparing which pile smelled worse.
Iron Man 2 though? Nah.

Personal opinion aside, there are more films of Hulk and Iron Man than Thor.
Probably have to also take into account that out of all the actors the one playing Thor is the biggest newb too.
Even the less featured actors playing Hawkeye and Black Widow have more experience than him. Hell the guy playing Hawkeye has an Oscar I'm pretty sure.
