Just gonna ignore that, Doom...

Anyway, I seen Battleship. Pretty cool action and hilariously stupid(but didn't seem like it was trying to be serious) parts like the opening scenes before Hopper joins the navy, the WWII vets fixing up an old battleship in a montage set to AC/DC's Thunderstruck (seriously) and Rihanna not actually being the horrible actor that I thought she would be, since she basically copies Vasquez' character from Aliens pretty well.

Not enough Liam Neeson, however.
So, Rihanna show any skin? :)

Actually, above all else it's supposed to represent the era of industrialization and the fight to retain the countryside's purity. There's nothing intentionally racist about it. I know my Tolkien, so back off!

So little love for The Cabin in the Woods. Not just here, but everywhere. I'm glad it had a reasonable budget and that films aren't paid for by the good will of the masses. So many horror fanboys missed the point, but they went and saw it anyway :)

Have to blame marketing for that one, I guess, and the perception of many a horror fan who expected (and wanted!) the by-the-numbers horror flick that the movie is (lovingly?) poking fun at.

The Cabin in the Woods is not really horror.. it's satire. It's good stuff.

I heard a rumor that she gets shagged on a couch before I seen the movie, but instead I was met with both mild disappointment and no erection.

There are like four closeups to her face where she says "Aloha Mahalo, motherfuckers" (its set in Hawaii) and "Boom"... She is, as I said before, not unlike Vasquez from Aliens - Basically, she's a generic tough chick, but she surprisingly plays the part alright.

Definetely doesn't mean I want her to star in more movies, though

My bad, I just think the Lord of the Ring's movies are for a specific demographic. As an Asian, I just didn't find the film very interesting or appealing.
