Saw Abraham today, not as good as the book but it was decent and what I expected/wanted out of it

I tried to get into Firefly after finishing BSG and I had to stop after the first few eps. I know it's supposed to be epic, guess I gotta grind my way into it


Also DOOM I was under the impression you had finished the series before you made the judgement on the last page? For shame

Saw the pilot episode of X-Files and loved it! Totally awesome! It's funny back when the show was on in the late 90's, I watched it but didn't understand any of it, since I didn't speak or understand English back then heh....it's amazing how learning a new language can open so many doors in terms of: entertainment, learning and more!

Yea the chemistry between him and Gillian is amazing (omg she is so hot!) When did he abandon it? I guess during the last season? When does the show start sucking? Seems like it dragged on for a while.

Also saw Predator last Friday, still an amazing film! But as I was watching it, all I could think about was Crysis and how Crytek dropped the ball with the retarded floating aliens in that game. Had they taken some inspiration from Predator and stuck with a similar cloaked alien design, the game would have been AMAZING. One of the most creepy part of Crysis 1 was when you encounter the nano suited North Korean soldiers, the ambiance, the level design was just creepy and superb! Anyone else agree?

Watched banksy's "exit through the giftshop" dont like most documentaries, let alone ones about pretentious "art". But it was genuinely interesting. Not only an insight into the world of street art, but the spin of seeing the film maker turn into "mr brainwash". He was essentially a manufactured artist...which i thought was quite interesting. Not really much about banksy...but probably a better "film" because of it.

Saw Signs yesterday (the M Night film). Didn't like it that much, I thought War of the Worlds was better. Those kids were really annoying (compared to the war of the worlds girl), the plot sucked (hand to hand combat aliens lol)...

Umm they are both about an alien invasion in progress, they both star a male lead trying to protect his family, both have kids in them...there are a lot of other similarities. But I personally liked War of Worlds (the newer one staring Tom Cruise) a lot better than Signs.

Exactly, it should have been all invasion and war but no we got some Cruise crying and singing crap, I get what they were trying to do and I would have done spmething similar but come on, show some explosions and tits and asses up in that piece.

If Spielberg hadn't directed it, it wouldn't have been such a bubble gum family friendly film.

I would have enjoyed it a whole lot more if the son hadn't survived when they get separated. Everything else is fine/cool

War of the Worlds was a horrible film. Only good part was the arrival scene, and that didn't make a lick of fucking sense.

Signs is pretty freaky on the first watch. Hell, it's still pretty creepy. I don't watch that film anymore.
