I watched Saw IV a couple days ago, and The Hitcher (the original, NOT the remake) yesterday.

Hitcher was really cool, I'm surprised I never watched it before.
The only really retarded part I could find in the movie was how the girl allowed herself to get wrapped up in the drama for some stupid reason.
Otherwise I had a good time with it.

Saw IV, well, I was too drunk to follow most of it, so I'll have to watch it again.

I wonder if the Hitcher remake is anygood...

There's no reason to ever have to watch Saw IV more than once.

The Hitcher remake IS NOT good. Unless you wanna laugh. It's good as a comedy. As a nod to your horror movie thread, Plumb, I advise you go watch the spanish film [REC] if you haven't already. It's filmed in the same sort of way that Cloverfield is filmed and is, in my opinion, a great movie. The end sequence is one of the most intense and scary scenes I have witnessed in a long time. This movie only came out last year and already and American remake is coming out THIS year. Crazy.

Always down for a good recommendation :)

I'm not sure I would want to deal with subtitles but I'll check it out anyway.

Oh man, I've had enough of the shakycam for now, especially with Diary of the Dead coming out so soon. I don't want to watch another fake-documentary-style horror movie so close to the release of one I actually want to see :)

Well, you know, I've heard that Diary is pretty abysmal. Is it not out in the US yet? It's been screening here for a while but I never got round to seeing it. I thought Land of the Dead was passable.

George Romero is so enthusiastic about the project, basically proclaiming it to be his best since the original Night of The Living Dead. That's enough to peek my interest.

watched "The Brave One" starring jodie Foster last night and I loved it. the story may not be the most original out there but when it comes to acting, there is no denying that Jodie Foster delivers! I highly reccomend it!

And her progression was handled well I found. I definitely enjoyed it. Revenge movies kick ass.

Watched 2/3 of 3 Extreme (Fruit Chan/ Park Chan-Wook/ Takashi Miike (why I bought it)), first story was boring, second was awesome, third is my favorite director so we'll see.

Watched Session 9, it was really good but not a horror movie like I anticipated. More a suspence.

I went and saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall this past Tuesday.

I absolutely loved it; I found myself laughing pretty much nonstop. My favourite comedies of late have all been those Apatow produced ones like 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Superbad(NOT Talladega Nights or Walk Hard though), so I'm not surprised I enjoyed this so much.

That "stable" of actors (Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, etc...) have great chomedic chemistry. And don't let me forget my man-crush, Paul Rudd. It's too bad Ellen DeGeneres is gay because her and Paul Rudd would have the most charming kids ever.

Also, Mila Kunis has never been hotter than in this movie.

I'm definitely looking forward to Pineapple Express. I'm generally not a fan of stoner movies, but previews for a movie have never made me laugh so much.

I saw Diary of the Dead this weekend.. and.. I dunno. I liked it, but it's probably just 'cause I'm a Romero fanboy. Cloverfield was honestly a better movie and I was quite harshly critical of that film.. and yet some how I liked Diary more.

I just watched 'I Am Legend'.

My word, what an absolutely incredible film. Easily in my top 10 films of all time, and Will Smith is an oustanding actor.

It had everything: jumpy scenes which kept me on the egde of my seat, as well as thorough action and very moving, emotional moments.

I really didn't expect it to be as good as that ... incredible.

It also had needlessly cg monsters and a stupid M. Night Shyamalan-like revelation scene.

I dug everything though up until the monsters were introduced.

Really?

Not to be a dick, but I agree with Ronsauce. The monsters looked absolutely terrible. Like, Mummy bad. I really loved the way New York was envisioned at the beginning of the movie though.

Yes, really. Perhaps not 'easily', but it's certainly a contender.

I do agree that the weakpoint of the film was in fact the design and CG of the mutants, but other than that it was outstanding.

It left a really big impression on me. Heck, you don't have to agree - After all, everyone has their own right to an opinion. I bet there are films in your top 10 that I wouldn't rate.
