Also, you can tell the stone giants and the Goblin King were designed by Guillermo del Toro.
All in all, really liked it. The whole necromancer sub-plot is really cool too, good to see it explored rather than in the books where Gandalf just leaves them to it without much explanation why. Also, they ended it in a great way, I didn't feel like they stretched it out unnecissarily. One thing I kinda dislike is that, although they have actual physical sets, all the goblins are CGI rather than costumed Kiwis like the last trilogy. Azog looks like the big Engineer guy from Prometheus.

Since 5894 DaysI agree with Phaethon360, this should have never been a Trilogy, I could have passed 2 movies, ideally should have been only one 3 hour with a 3 and a half hour EE, but no Jackson has to put as many boring shit in the films as he can.
