I'd wager the Germans don't enjoy the amount of movies about their role in WWII either though.
While there has been a lot of WWII movies, I don't think there has been an accurate portrayal of slavery in film already. Perhaps that's why they're saying it's needed, because it hasn't been done yet.
You may know the story, just like we know the story of the Holocaust, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be seen through film.
It's not meant to be a guilt trip, it's meant to retell a history that hasn't been told yet.
The only parts i disliked in Hobbit 2 was the silly Kili/Tauriel love story that they forced in...other than that, great.
Bilbo and Smaug scene was WAY better than Bilbo and the abnoxiously boring Smeagol scene in the first part.
I hope Peter Jackson follows the Hobbit 2 route for Hobbit 3 or better then i will be happy.
Legolas was awesome in Hobbit 2, he did 10x more badass action scenes then he did in all 3 LOTR movies put together, good stuff. I liked his light armor he had on too, way better than his plain look in LOTR.
Absolutely beautiful movie imo...
If you haven't seen it, go watch it!

What did you think the ending meant Fire?
What did you think the ending meant Fire?
I think Sam helped him grow out of his depressed fase and helped him remember what living/having fun meant.
He's definitely hooking up with that neighbor chick though

Still like the original better tho
From the behind the scenes on yt, one cameraman dressed as a car seat. ^^
They also used moving stall walls in the bathroom fight so the cameraman could move around.
Very philisophical and artsy and I lurved it
Haven't seen Nymphomaniac yet, not sure if i want too... But i consider The Kingdom a masterpiece so maybe i should give it a shot even though it's probably completely different tonewise etc.
Shows im watching atm are Death Note and have started to rewatch The Sopranos and Rome.
Yet to see The Kingdom.
Just don't watch Antichrist- movie is garbage
Also agreed about How to Train. I didn't like Hiccup's role at the end either
One of the most entertaining movies I've seen this summer. Gave me a sort of Firefly feel in a way that an odd bunch travels around in space, which is always a good thing. Haven't seen Chris Pratt since The O.C. but feels like he was made to play Star Lord.
What a movie!
This is the ultimate summer blockbuster.
OST was great, the 3D effects (Imax) were on par with (or even better than) Avatar, loved it!
Definitely going for a 2nd viewing this week.
