I'm happy now the Square Enix had finally decided to fully support the 360. Probably cost MS alot of money though in the process. Just Konami now to work on and get a new Zone of the Enders on the go for Multi-platform.

This is crazy. They mention a version of Xbox 360, but think about it.

Would they HONESTLY announce an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII BEFORE the ps3 version is even out? Wouldn't an announcement like this potentially hurt sales of the ps3 version? It will still sell big, but like wow! I think a simultaneous release isn't out of the realm of possibility here.

This is the one thing I absolutely did not expect to happen. This pretty much guarantees MGS4 on the Xbox 360. You guys do realize that right?

I wont have any use for a 360 version of MGS4 though since I have it for ps3 and with regards to FFXIII, Lead platform is ps3 so I'm probably getting it for the ps3, especially if it's releasing on the ps3 first.

As huge as this is I was hoping for a better ending. I am not all that interested in JRPG's so it didnt really feel like there was any surprises.

No but Sony have so few killer apps left now and so few eclusives, its kind of sad to be honest, I didn't want to see this happen to Sony but I don't think they are guna be around next gen, at least not in the console business.

Yeap but this is a huge blow for sony cause Final Fantasy XIII was one of their biggest exclusive.

Pretty much, but it's still a big loss. I mean, people will still buy it on PS3 for sure, but they could go "else where" if they didn't own a PS3. I mean I'm still going to get it for PS3, but this is pretty huge news. Out of freaking nowhere!

Agreed. As far as big announcements that I'm personally interested in, there were really none.

Man I'd be jumping around like a crazed maniac right now if I was at E3. I'd grab the closest person and give them a big bear hug. I honestly wasn't expecting star ocean 4 footage so soon.

Sony have a terrific brand and a hell of a lot of PS2 owners not making the switch yet. Their biggest problem is the Wii is eating a lot of their hard won mainstream userbase out from underneath them whilst the 360 is shoring up the hardcore. They're stuck in between a rock and a hard place.

This isn't the end for Sony at all, that's daft. They might even get a timed exclusive on FF XIII, pull out some suprises tomorrow and even have a PSP like resurgence in Japan after a redesign.

But...if MS get their pricing straight over the next year they've got problems

I think SE just saw how well GTA4 did on both consoles and the game is probably costing them a shitload of money to make. The PS3 is at 12 million consoles right now, add a potential 20 million more consoles to that...

you're getting a bit ahead of yourself. People said similar things about Nintendo last gen, and well, yeah they've had this new console race on lock since day 1. Sony's definitely going to have to rethink things though. It's good they've been knocked off that high horse of there's.
