My PSP love thread

Final Fantasy will be a long wait....I fear.

It depends on how much you like Tekken really, if you have 5 on the PS2 it won't be much worth buying, because it's identical except for the two new characters. If it would be half the price they are asking for it could be worth it.

Legend of Heroes III: Song of the Ocean is a nice RPG, It got good gameplay and a nice story. The graphics arn't really special, but it has the nice old RPG look.

Well, if you have a PS3 I'd suggest checking out the PSN version of Tekken DR unless you really need to have it on the go. It's a pretty impressive port of Tekken 5 for sure.

RPG's are coming, slowly. The newest thing coming in English seems to be Valhalla Knights. Could be a good one, at least enough to hold one over for Final Fantasy. The FFI+II collection should be pretty good, although I am a bit disappointed that they didn't do more to upgrade the games visuals. Seems unfair, looking at the DS version of FFIII.

There doesn't seem to be a shortage of strategy RPG's coming. Jeanne D'arc looks pretty, hopefully it plays as good as it looks. Disgaea and FFT are sure things for me..

Yea Valhalla Knights looks pretty interesting. About tekken looks good for a handheld version, but wont get it i think.

Nope, they don't.. though the online service on PSP is pretty lacking in general. There are not many wifi games, and for what there is out there, there isn't a lot of players. Out of the small handful of multiplayer games on the PSP, an even smaller handful are actually populated with opponents.

Hopefully that continues to improve. Wipeout Pulse is a good start.. hopefully the multiplayer mode in FFT is online too. Eventually I believe we're going to be able to access Home from the PSP, so that should improve that situation a little too.

For a Gundam game, that actually looks fun. I'll probably pick it up once I get my PSP, also like the fact it has the OST. Could do without all the screaming and talking though, hated that about the show. They never STFU

W00t. I got my PSP setup and running homebrew. My firmware on my first PSP was 3.11. I got another one with 2.60 and got 3.40 OE-A. Now I'm going to checkout getting my PS1 collection onto my memory stick. Can't wait.

BTW, I've seen custom themes and icons on PSPs running custom firmware. Where can I score some of those cool skins?

EDIT - Kick ass. Colony Wars plays amazingly well on the PSP. You use the analog stick to roll instead of R2 and L2. A little more cumbersome, but you really don't need to roll at all.

lol, on a 480x272 screen they look amazing, but play them on a 1080p 46" LCD, and your eyes will bleed.

It looks like trying to bring life to the french PSP thread is hopeless... So here I am!

I may need your advices about "What game to play if you're lost somewhere in the libyan desert for more than one month?"

Here are the games I was thinking about:

- Locoroco. Never played... Price is attractive.
- Killzone. What I know from this game doensn't make me very enthousiast but... platinum now !
- MGS PO: looks great. 40€.
- Crash Bandicoot downloaded from the PS Store. Has any one of you tried to download a PSOne classic from the PS3? How easy is that? Any good result?
- Any other good suggestion?

PS: PES6 is already in my bag !!!

I'm running the 3.40 OE update right now. Been on 3.30 OE for a while.. looking forward to checking out some of the new features. I'm interesting in this remote play plugin I keep hearing about that lets you play your games through your PC. I wonder if Sony has considered adding such a feature officially to the PS3.
