My PSP love thread

RIIIISE FROM THE GRAVE!

Is Jeanne D'Arc out? I need that, the demo is awesome. I heavily recommend downgrading to 1.5 and back up to one of the 3.5+ custom firmwares. Well worth it, if not just to run your (your OWN) games off the MS and unlock the 333MHz clock speed. There are a bunch of worthy homebrew apps out there to top it off.

I think it comes out next week, like the 21st?

As for custom firmware, mine came with 2.81(lame!). So I would either have to upgrade to 3.03, and use the GTA: LC(unpatched) method, or 3.50 and do the Luminess thing. However, I'm just too lazy right now. I may just wait it out in hopes that there will be a easier solution in the future, when the newer PSPs are released(3.60+). Doubt it though :p


Edit: where can you get the Jeanne D'Arc demo?

D&D Tactics came out this week too--crazy! I haven't been paying enough attention.

Also, when the hell are they going to add the PS Store function to the PSP, if ever? I know you can download a few PS1 games off the PS3's PS Store, then transfer it over to your PSP. But man, that's just too much work! I want my FF7(legal) damn it!

Also, sweet merciful crap My Hands! Time to go out and buy a gripe case thing, my hands be too big. I can barely play MHF for more than 20mins before hands give out on me.

The PC version is better in that sense, I think.. since you can have all the buttons covered at all times, and not have to worry about breaking it down to two of your digits. The portable versions are great games though.

You pick up Jeanne D'arc? I'm thinking about grabbing it today if possible.

Yeah, the PC version was a lot easier. However, I kept getting bored of it for some reason. Now the PSP game I can't put down, even though it kills my hands with a bloody passion. Weird :p

As for Jeanne D'arc, Nope, haven't gotten it yet. I added it to my Gamefly list earlier this week, and they just shipped it out yesterday. So should be here by Tuesday-Wednesday. Tried the demo though, and enjoyed that. Going to have to multitask between that, MHF2(which will get most of my time) and Blue Dragon.

Seems to be the best PSP release all year..

Seems it has gotten some good reviews too. Surprised I never heard of it till you mentioned it. I may give it a rent with Mr. Gamefly, since I've decided to go out today and buy Jeanne D'arc. I'll just ship it right back when it comes in the mail. Too many people are telling me it's good, and I feel the need to support Mr. Level 5. I mean it is only $29.99! :o

Well I picked Jeanna D'arc earlier today, have to say loving it so far. However I'm not that far into it, only a couple of hours in. Love the FMVs too

Well I've gotten a bit further in Jeanne D'Arc, and must say I'm still loving it. Easily one of the best JRPGs I've played all year. Sucks Sony seemed to under ship the game, since it seems to be soldout at a lot of game stores. I actually bought the last copy at the GS that I got it from a few days ago. You pick it up yet, Grift?

I haven't.. will try to get it tomorrow.. maybe. Unless I get into the Call of Duty beta, then it might have to wait. On a totally unrelated note.. and terribly off topic.. I want to pick up Odin Sphere before it's impossible to find (PS2).

This thread is going to make me buy PSP... DJ Max game would be perfect to play in bus and school. Gitaroo man too but I think that is the same game as PS2 version. I better not to watch this thread again... maybe that slim version :P

DJ Max is the stuff. I play it in between classes, and sometimes during them. I'm a master of 4B Mode! :P
I don't have DJ MAX 2 though, probably will need to get that one eventually.




Also, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 comes out 2morrow :)
