I tried to play W1 and the little i got through was very rough and buggy, but the W2 looks and feels soooo much better.

Knights of the Old Republic, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Mass Effect 3 all have better story telling compared to the Witcher (which is based off some Polish novel but is kinda vague and less detailed in-game)

the game is terrible, you should skip it and go straight to Witcher 2

I'm starting to enjoy it quite a bit more already, but it's still pretty rough around the edges. The level design sorta breaks the experience for me a little. TES/Fallout's sandboxes really spoiled me.

yes the level design is terrible, especially all the back tracking in Chapter 3 that was the deal breaker for me

I can't agree with those reviews, the game is like 7 or 8 out of 10 at best. I don't know what they added to the last chapter but it ends kind of abruptly and I think the could have used another chapter. Still a great game! The best part about it is chapter 2, it is where the game shines.

Well, they've made the final act a lot longer and added to the ending... so what you've just criticised it for doesn't apply anymore.

Yep an extra 5hrs worth of game content :), plus bug fixes and combat enhancements hence the higher scores, i for one cant wait!!

yea I dunno, the last chapter is really weak, I doubt adding 5 hours of content could fix that chapter. The game peaks around chapter 2 then goes downhill
