Yes there is new ways to get karma but to be honest I don't really care about karma points.

I have only played 3 of the first levels now on warrior. Game has been great so far.
Wait until you get to the cheap part with red ninjas and mechas and multimissile soldiers ;) *not fun*

Alimo...you are both sided :P

You pretty much get used to know how to "counter" the enemies on your multi playthroughs, that was how the first NG was.

Took some time to know the pattern, enemies weakness and strongness.

However, I still think some of the bosses and sub-bosses are just cheap as hell!

But I have been playing Lost Odyssey these few days, so no ninja action.

Both sided ? not sure what you meant by that ??? I guess I just cant seem to hate the game completely or love it completely ....

If Lost Odyssey has managed to keep you from playing NG than you really must be enjoying it and Im glad you are - I told you, you'd love it :D

Both sided, I mean that you don't know if you hate it to death or love it...you don't know what you feelings are for this game.
But don't worry, same here :P

I don't do karma runs anymore, I just go on Warrior or Acolyte to have fun and kick some ass and just learn the weapons.

And about Lost Odyssey, although I like it, I rather have FFXIII (in terms of art design) but this random battle is pissing me off.
But the whole turn based system is fun, which means I am gonna look into JRPG.

Ah well, back to NG2.

Ace I have been saying that MANY times.

JRPG art design, upgrades...etc. but the only thing that is different is that it's combat is real time, by that I mean like DMC or Ninja Gaiden, would be GREAT!

But we know it is never gonna happen :(

In LO I have been attacked by points like 250 while I get 150, and I said to myself, if this was on Ng, that bastard would even be given the chance to hit me once.

But in RPG, you MUST get hit, that's the thing with turn based.

But in real-time such as NG or DMC, you can defeat many enemies without even getting touched.

But ah well, that is how it works, and it's gonna be years until they might change that.

Kind of like how Mass Effect went with in-depth RPG elements for it's upgrades...etc. but it's combat was real time.

Now I know that japan isn't up for shooters, and they are into swords and magic (like myself) they could make such concept based on NG combat or DMC combat, but still have that deep RPG elements that not all enemies can be killed if your character isn't skilled for it, so it depends on your character and the enemy you are about to face.

But keep wishing ACE, it might help ;)

F*ck! I love U!
Yes! I love how Mass Effect become advanced by combining RPG and normal real time combat system "Gears of War" with tons of skills and magik. Bioware made Jade Empire befor and it was nearly that what I want, but it sucx with combos(only 2 combos per combat style). It was 3 years early. So why Sakaguchi cant do such things, but better?
And I hate shitty half realtime, half turn-based jRPG like FF12. I want true realtime with great enemy's AI and tons of combos, like NG2. I think Infinite Undiscovery is that what I want. Shit, I want Sakaguchi's characters and story there and Uematsu music, not TRI-ACE(((
I hope Cry oN and Lost Odyssey 2 will be as I expected.
BTW, this is what Sakaguchi want to do with his new jRPG
・New ideas
・Combining the scenario and game system
・Real time
・Ideas that are emotionally moving

and they(mistwalker/feel plus) said that they love Mass Effect)))

You both couldnt be more wrong!

They are completely different GENRES and the difference between their combat systems is what makes them GREAT. What's next. a NG combat system in Gears of War ? Let the genres be what they are.

JRPGs combat systems are more about strategy (especially turn based ones). NEVER EVER will you find NG gameplay in those games and if it does happen, it will be the day I'll give up the genre ENTIRELY.

oh and ACE, the AI in Ninja Gaiden 2 is Cheap and definately not great. Sure when you know how it works you can work your way around it like I said and the game becomes more enjoyable but that doesnt change the fact that it's cheap.

Well I don't think Sakaguchi is going to make real time combat, it is gonna probably end up semi real, like Eternal Sonata or Phantasy Star Universe type.

I played pretty much all types of JRPGs, tradition chess types, turn based and semi real combat.

I don't like the one that is like a chess, bores me, but the other two is good for me.

I just hope they make it, if not soon, I hope someday.

JRPG genre was created by Sakaguchi and this is time to evolve it. I think u read all LO and BD reviews. They hate old gameplay(((
If u want strategy in JRPG u must go and play TjRPG like FF Tactics.
Just imagine how fun will become playing Lost Odyssey with great emotional story, awesome characters and superb music and NG2 combat and AI!!!

IMAGINE! Kaim, Tolten and Seth playing like Ruy and Rachel. Sed looks for cover and shooting like Gears of War/Mass Effect. Ming and Sarah, hm, I dont know, I think they devise it))

It will be greatest game EVER!

I personally think the combat system in Eternal Sonata was quite bad. it was basically a button masher all the way through and that's why I dont like the semi real combat we're seeing lately in the Final Fantasys series - it's just a complete mess when you're fighting and has a sort of a Hands off apporoach. you can literally put down the controller and let your party do the fighting which wasnt a pleasant experience. Games are trying to get players more involved and have more control over what to do but Final Fantasy seems to be going the other way.

Anyway, we're bit off topic Ooops! let's go back to ninja gaiden :D

I was quite disappointed actually when I found all the skulls in the game, all we were given is a gamer picture :( and where are the mission modes ..... :(

I hope they release those very soon as a DLC and I hate that they havent included them in the first place. We need a Mission mode and a Survival mode please.

Nope, I still prefer the BD and LO combat systems. they could spice those up but still remain turn based.

I would say this though, I DON'T want Sakaguchi to make a hybrid of JRPG with NG2 gameplay, I want another developer, and no, not SE either.

I still want to have the best devs out there to stick to their JRPG turn-based gameplay, because that is what they are good at.

But a company that knows how to implement good real time combat and knows enough about RPG to get on it.

All I say is, let the masters do what they have been doing, and let a another dev that knows how a real time combat should be done do it and just add alot of RPG elements.

Itagaki won't do such a game for a long time, unless that title would be his "secret project", but Itagaki doesn't do RPGs.
Code Cronus maybe?

I don't know.

What they need to do is to co-op the devs.

Sakaguchi for its art design, RPG elements and music and story.
Itagaki for its combat and music.

Best of two worlds.

On what difficulty?

Finding it easy still doesn't mean that the game lacks faults related to a poor camera system and poor AI.

I beat Acolyte awhile ago. But playing through Normal now, and its not that bad. I don't understand how people find the AI so damn hard.

The AI isn't hard, but it's cheap...especially in conjunction with the camera. Random grabs that can't be avoided that rape half your life bar that occur while you are in the middle of a combo fucking suck. The camera switching angles right before an attempted jump out of harm's way that end up leading you directly into harm's way also suck ass. The game's AI isn't hard because it's good, it's hard because it cheats. It's like playing Street Fighter and having the CPU pull off charge moves without actually charging. That's not good AI.

I can't count the number of times I've destroyed a boss down to his last eighth of a life-bar only to have him pull off some unblockable combo 3 times in a row that decimates my life-bar. That's not clever AI.

I got the bottom one since last month with my pre-order code.

The second row makes me think of Mortal Kombat :P
Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile, and power rangers hahaha.
