all I see are color differences, but the contrast seem to be cranked up way too high in the sigma images.

That Ryu model in that ng2 image is from an alpha build. The final model looks considerably different in NG2.

its a huge deference in texture.

Oh, you must be referring to the bump maps on his leg plate or whatever. It looks more like an art choice rather than a technical limitation. Besides, the way it looks in NG2 is how it looked in NG2's CG render...

I'm mainly talking about the specular maps, lighting, and texture for the leather look in his suit. It looks really fake in the left screenshot, which was an early build of the game. The final version looks much better.

spectra, we have been through this before, no need to do it again.
I say and many others that NGS2 looks better and the characters obviously look more detailed in NGS2, but you don't agree, ok.

I've already stated the characters sport a little bit more detail, but it's not this huge quantum leap like some are claiming. Environments look pretty much the same.

The only thing that looks better than NG2 is character details and the environment has a cosmetic change from filters and colors. Doesn't take much to notice it.
But whatever, old argument.

It is, but this thread has been all about graphics talk and comparisons before I even came in. BTW Sath, NG2 does utilize depth of field, it's noticeable when you charge up and zoom in with the bow.

Really? I so did not remember it. But NGS2 seems to use it more, with grabs as well.
But I am pretty much done with comparison, "I" know NGS2 looks better and thats what matters, you can continue if you want.

Maybe you should play more NG2, its a pretty good game you know.

The only reason the game gets any talk is for fanboy reasons. NG2 was such a dissapointment for many, it's hard to come up with another explanation (talking about (almost) non existent graphics differences in a game I'd be least interested in graphics, given its predecessor, says much).

Maybe you should play more NG2, its a pretty good game you know.
I owned it, played for hours and hours and for weeks, but considering the game somewhat broken it didnt stay with me as much as NG1 (I traded old NG towards their remakes, like NG>NGB>NGS).

I know you played it. I have debated with you before in how frustrated it makes me that the Sigma series haven't (in my opinion) accomplished everything they could. I was just being sarcastic. Everybody here knows you as a NG fan.
