well I don't DPS already really, it's not really the issue with me.
I generally tank with D.Va or flank with Mei

We don't really roll with anyone who's straight up going to heal all the time, and everyone else just wants to DPS
But people are getting frustrated being told what they should play

I play a lot of Lucio, not because other players won't play support, but because I don't trust random players to play support well. You can't force someone into playing Mercy or Lucio that never plays Lucio or Mercy and expect them to perform well. And Blizzard is very generous with feedback with support characters. You're like always on fire as Lucio if you're kinda doing well.

You don't want to force your teammates into roles they suck at, but there's another side to that coin. Not everyone is good at combat. Sometimes my skills as an FPS player are being wasted by putting me into a role with extremely low DPS. When I'm running around as Lucio and my team can't kill anything.. those are the only frustrating moments for me in Overwatch.

The long and short of it: Everyone should git gud at a healer because chances are you'll need to fill that role at some point.

I ignore any random in a pub that straight up tells me what I can or can't play. That's just annoying.

I laugh when you to do it to other people... :P

Agree 100% with this. That is why I try to get good with Reinhart and Lucio because I knew I couldn't trust other people doing those roles well.

Everybody should learn to play at least one tank, and one of Mercy or Lucio

Lol I know people don't like it but sometimes I get tired of playing Reinhart or Lucio and want to play DPS, and if I playing Reinhart I always like to have a healer with me. For some reason they never get mad at me and always pick the player I tell them :D

Lucio is pretty easy but people misuse his abilities all the time. You have to raise the volume when people are actively damaged, not every time your cool down resets, because then you won't have the boost when you actually need it. And his ultimate has a very short duration. Stop dropping the beat before the threat level peaks FFS! People drop it too early or too late pretty often.

I think Lucio is pretty easy to play if you've played something like a moba before. It's just basic support type buffing. Obviously you don't want to pop your ult untill there's a full team fight going. Same with the heal, unless you need to save a particular player or something.

But i'm getting the impression that a lot of scrubby players just don't understand the dynamics of team fights at all.

Yeah Lucio is not that hard to play if you know how to use his boost and ult properly. For me the best combo is a Lucio and Mercy together. Lucio for general healing on the team and Mercy on the tank or boosting a Pharah.

I've been playing at 1440p/144hz on epic settings and pulling in about 100fps. Pretty fucking incredible game engine they've got here, even if its not the most technically accomplished.

I gotta say, it feels incredible.

Yeah the game is unbelievably polished. It can't get stated enough how well made an MP focused game it is.

Yeah the game is unbelievably polished. It can't get stated enough how well made an MP focused game it is.
Knowing LootCrate it's just gonna be either a t-shirt, shitty comic or a POP figure.

It looks great, runs great. But I mean.. it's not exactly high tech. But ya know what? It does deserve heaps of praise as a piece of software. It is uniquely polished. Blizzard aint perfect, but they are rare, and I appreciate their quality. Few games feel so refined, and few developers produce this quality of content. I'm sometimes very critical but I appreciate Blizzard.

They're up there with the likes of Nintendo EAD.

I will say that for whatever reason, this game makes my gtx 980 ti run HOT. Often see temps as high as 70 C. No other game does this... very strange. Had to create a custom fan profile just for this game lol.

I went up against a level 245 player today. Which is... unbelievable.

I have to crank up my fans just for this game as well. It's weird as you say because no other game I own makes my gpu run this hot. I'm on an AMD 290 though. I was up over 80 degrees before cranking up the fans. Now I'm in the 70s.
