I had a 10/05 unit too Inflatable. It finally kicked the bucket on me half a year ago. It can still die!

It's a piece of electronics, offcourse it can die at any moment.. But it still hasn't..

And aslong as it doesn't die on it's own I'm not spending 140 euro on a new (arcade) unit just to get HDMI output..

I'm using VGA aswell atm on my PC monitor.. But I'm buying a new HDTV this week, so I hope using component (or VGA) will look good enough on it..

Compared to my PC games Xbox 360 games look blurry on my PC monitor.. But I don't know if that's the VGA connection or just the way Xbox 360 games look compared to PC games.. It might also have to do with the fact Xbox 360 games run in 720p native, and my PC monitor is 1680x1050 native (scaling issue)..

I think it has more to do with the scaling on your monitor than the input. I do think that my 360 looks a little more blurry on my monitor (24") than PC games at the same resolution, but they're never going to look crisp. I still think it looks pretty nice though. Sure, it looks a little better on my HDTV, but the convenience of having it setup on the same display as my gaming rig is, well, convenient.
