The microsoft conf capture is just blurred out and darker so you cant see as much detail as in the Sony conference. To me they look identical.

On gametrailers.com both trailers are more blurred and worse quality and I still see no AA in trailer from Sony conference and AA in trailer from Microsoft conference (plus the same differences in colours).

There is another similar scene in both teasers, with gibbet, where gibbet looks clean on video grom MS conference, while gibbet in video from Sony briefing is very jaggy. It applieas for both gametrailers and gamespot's videos. I can make that comparison, too.

Really?! Insane, glowing eyed villagers running towards you with pitchforks and chainsaws never gave you the same urgency? :P

Well it doesn't matter if you're being chased by zombies or insane villagers, I think a lot of the urgency in the first games was due to the clunky controls now i think back on it.

Code Veronica is still the best RE to date in my opinion.

I still prefer the old Resident Evils, you never got the same urgency in RE4 as you did in the first 2.

i agree. resident evil's of old where far more intense and even a little scary in a cheap, "make you jump" sort of way, and they where in my eyes, survival horror. it was all about the puzzles, all about the short blasts of intensity, the cinematic angles that again add tension. resi 4 and apparently 5 as well may as well be called "action shooter : part 5" because this is NOT resident evil, and more importantly, this is NOT survival horror

as for adding shooting while moving, i think its something they HAVE to do this time round, considering the new "zombies" can run, and are in FAR greater numbers then resi 4, then having to stop to shoot is just an infuriating design choice. if it was identicle to resi 4, then yeah, stoping and popping would work, as there are far less enemies and they dont really move all that fast. but as it is, resi 5 NEEDS that feature of moving while shooting.

im honestly not excited about new resident evil games anymore since the switch to a more action focused, mindless shooter aproach....but im sure i'll pick it up, fact is tho, if i want my survival horror fix that dishes out both tension, scares and an overall unsettling atmosphere, silent hill 5 will be the way to go.......as long as it isnt anything like "the room"

I would say the new resident evils are more survival horror because there is more of a chance of you dying from a quick moving "not zombie" that throws weapons at you and is as merciless as the incredibly sluggish zombies of old. Also, Korndog, i have to disagree with your comment that the new resident evils being the "mindless shooter approach", with previous RE's you could pick off every zombie from a mile away before they even reached you.

With the new ones, since they come at you much faster you gotta decide where to shoot and how often to shoot, whether to try and hope your accurate enough to pop them in the head, or shoot them in the knees to stun them for a moment and go for the kick kill. There's alot more strategy in that sense.

It may more actiony, but i dont see how its less intense than previous RE's.

First, thx Alimo for the screens!

Second, they are screenshots from the trailer, but most definitely small HD versions, that makes them new :P

I can't wait to get my hands on this game on day one, looks awesome.
I just hope Capcom do the samething what they did with RE4 in terms of music with that nice orchestral and some ambitent music, and most definitely the whole cinematic cutscenes and all.

Capcom, c'mon, you gotta make those arms smaller!

Driftwood mais le jeu est sorti depuis moins d'un mois, il faut aussi lui donner le temps. Je ne serais pas étonné qu'une démo arrive, mais j'espère qu'elle ne sera pas juste dispo pour les abonnés. (il y a 2 Heures)
Driftwood @Blackninja: il est parfaitement possible que cela soit une bonne performance pour le jeu par rapport au coût du développement. Tu ne peux pas espérer vendre un Saros comme un AC, GTA ou Spider-Man. (il y a 2 Heures)
