lol he's the oldest genin ever. Remember he has been gone from the village for so long in his training with Jiraiya so he was never there to go up in rank.

He's still of genin rank in Konoha, but you'd assume he's a bit stronger than your average genin wouldn't ya? :)

Mark my words jolli Sasuke will earn your respect :) It'll be hard for him not to. At times myself and others that read the manga have said "they should change the anime name to Sasuke" LOL

Even if he doesn't earn your respect he'll leave you in complete and utter shock.

Naruto in my opinion has lots of growing he needs to do. He's absolutely incredible and he's learned a lot, but keep in mind the very thing Jiraiya warned him about before going to help save gaara.

Control your temper. He loses his cool everything he's learned goes out the window he needs to grow up and learn to control himself.

Definitely one of the most incredible naruto eps in a long long time this latest one.

Think he is a crap character, and it's only fair to assume that he has grown in strength, but Naurto could still kick his ass, with the assistance of Kyuubi.. ;)

A human can't control one of the tailed beast's *supposedly* so i guess that's why he shouldn't use it.

I don't know.... at one time I'd say yes, but now I'd have to say Naruto would probably lose even with Kyuubi. Sasuke has gotten that strong an uncontrollable burst of nine tails chakra rage isn't going to be enough against him. Sasuke wont be beaten with brute force it'll take skill.

Heretic its when Naruto loses it and relies on the red chakra that he weakens his development as a Ninja. He should never have to fight and rely on the nine tails. His reliance on the nine tails makes him weak (pay attention to the fact that he beat Gaara without ever using an ounce of the nine tail's chakra) This is a minor spoiler and I wont reveal who told Naruto this, but

The only reason Naruto can even sustain the nine tail's chakra as much as he does is because his chakra is just as high. He himself has just as big a reservoir of power as the nine tails does he just doesn't have the self control or experience to properly tap into it

You'll come to find out Naruto is at his best when not relying on the nine tails. Someone is going to give Naruto a pretty serious scolding and light a fire under his ass so to speak :)

What he has been the entire time hasn't been himself. He's been using the kyuubi as a crutch and fighting with brute power and not taking advantage of his natural talents (he has many, but he never shows them). Naruto's a genius in disguise he's a much more incredible ninja than he has ever let on. The part you never get to see due to his lack of self control. Maybe its because he doesn't think of himself as the thinking type of ninja that he's willing to play the fool with guts that never gives up all the time, but he can be so much more than what he is and it starts with him finally stepping up and showing all the things he can do and refusing to rely on the nine-tails.

It isn't just his anger that holds him back its everything especially his feelings towards Sasuke.

That's true, but he can do better than that without the power of the nine-tails :)

As a matter of fact he can use something miles more powerful than that from his own chakra. Ultimately it isn't like Naruto can't use the 9 tails chakra in cool ways as long as he uses it within reason and doesn't lose control of himself in the process and the oodama rasengan seems to be one such example of it being used wisely, but he needs to start putting more emphasis on his own power and look to improve himself that way.

The way he used the 9 tails in his fight against Sasuke is extremely dangerous and he can't keep resorting to that or he'll be in trouble, but naturally we all know the 9 tails power is bound to show sooner or later, but Naruto has to show that he's made progress beyond just improved knowledge of how to use the 9 tail's power.

True, but as Naruto gets better he's using the nine-tails in more dangerous ways that he essentially has no control over its just feeding off his emotions you'll see how much more dangerous it gets as the anime goes further.

Ichigo's hollow is almost similar, but once he learns how to use it he can use it with no issues seemingly (he can't keep the form for too long though, but he seems to have full control and it doesn't seem to be hurting him) In Naruto's case when he gets really angry (which is often) he uses it in a dangerous manner that gives him power, but at the same time is causing him serious pain or worse making it a step closer to being released from naruto's body and if you know about oodama rasengan then you probably know the consequences of someone having a Bijuu taken out of their body.

I'm with both you guys. I hated Sasuke with a passion too, but I'm beginning to gain a lot of respect for him the way the manga has been going lately.

I was going to post a major spoiler in black for people interested in reading it, but decided against it. Probably best you guys find out for yourselves :D

I used to dislike Sasuke. Not nearly as much as I hate his brother but he was always kind of annoying. However... the new Sasuke... is... freaking!!!....

i have respect for Sasuke. he had the chance to become strong enough to kill his brother by killing Naruto but he chose to do things his way. who knows how powerful he could have been had he taken out Naruto with Chidori in the end of the first season

Had he killed naruto then and there obtaining mangekyou sharingan he still would be absolutely no match for Itachi. If you see the latest stuff in the manga even if you don't like him you'll gain some respect its almost impossible not to.
