Be a hater, harder? I don't know what to tell you. Most of us have been using Steam for years and we've all seen it evolve into something wonderful. Most of us actually love Steam, so, take your hate elsewhere. If you don't want to enjoy stellar sales, service, and a feature set that's basically unbeatable on any platform, than good for you. Digital downloads aren't killing your freedom. Hell, people love XBLA, and that's about 100x worse than anything you could possibly have to say about Steam. Hell, you can even play offline.

They don't sell Quake 4, apparently. Maybe Activision still has publishing rights? I don't know.

Shame, it's a better game than most people would give it credit for.

I've been meaning to put at least a couple of hours into this while it's still free, but I'm not sure I'll have the time this weekend. Maybe tomorrow depending on the duration of the weekend.

I've been craving MW2 for some time now on PC (played it to death on my now dead PS3) and I'm glad Steam had this free weekend. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I used to, I blame BC2. Saves me 60 bucks.
