Yeah it's strange that Quake 4 isn't on Steam. One thing I hate about Steam (and some other services too) is that new games are more expensive than boxed copies from stores... oh well at least there is some good games on sale's sometimes.

Since 7234 DaysSteam is the best option so far as online goes. I mean.. direct2drive is a joke, and so is EA's DL service. Shit, last time I checked EA was actually charging more than their own MSRP for 2142 online. What the hell is that about? Convenience charge?
Hopefully id's new partnership with EA doesn't mean that their new games won't appear on Steam. I guess we'll see how that works out. I mean, they're letting Crytek do their thing, and so far as I know they don't own either company.. unless they do own Crytek, I could be wrong 'bout that one.
