Last of Us was not the best looking title this generation.

Agreed, I wouldn't even put it in the top 5! I still think Uncharted 3 was more visually impressive and a whole lot more polished.

Anyway, I have no idea why he thinks the 360 was more powerful ps3

People are getting carried away with all the PR talk or BS rumors. Of course no one is going to see or can tell 30% difference in multiplats. It is going to like this gen. That is what Microsoft is trying to say. As far as 360 and PS3 goes I think he was talking about gpu. PS3 has very weaker gpu and powerful cpu. Everyone is going to say there will not be any significant differences except exclusive games

Last of Us was OK looking on my PS3, but why is it I noticed a lot of screen tearing, that I don't notice on some other PS3 or Xbox 360 games? Last of Us was not the best looking title this generation. Lost all credibility with me on that statement. I don't know what the best looking title this generation is, but it is not Last of Us.

By the way Last of Us had horrendous enemy AI.

LMAO. Everyone knows that XO has weaker gpu. That is what the comparison between 360 and PS3 as well. All Microsoft is doing damage control. The truth is out there if only you can see it

1.3TF after clock speed increase + some magic chip which is kept secret to even devs to 4TF WTF ? Geforece Titan has 4.5TF and is 1000$ video card. It is so funny people are so out of touch with reality

And yet digital foundry say it has no screen tearing. And i, myself have witnessed non either, I'd check your display tbh, sounds like it's a pile of shite.

I don't think TLOU is the best looking game of this generation. THE best looking game released to date, is still God of War 3 (followed by Killzone 2 or 3). Unquestionably. I refuse to accept any other answer to that question. When you look at those games, and look at everything else (including uncharted, halo 4, gran turismo, the last of us, etc.) they simply dont hold a candle.

Even if you close this thread, the conversation will start somewhere else on another thread - I just think people should keep their rumours to themselves from now on until the consoles are released and we know the facts. It is fine to discuss rumours up to a certain point but after 4 months, it has become ridiculous really.

It's been confirmed that at the Eurogamer Expo, Phil Spencer will be hosting a special conference for game developers on the Xbox One on Thursday September 26th at 12pm BST. This presentation (as it's being called) will be held exactly one day after the NDA will be lifted, and also the day after AMD will be presenting their new line of graphics cards at their own scheduled event in Hawaii.

Phil Spencer's developer session (as well as other dev sessions) WILL be streamed online on the Eurogamer Expo YouTube channel.

Great I love dev talks, cant wait! may get to see some new footage of games? :)

Blame internet. It is amazing though so much controversies concerning XO. I think Microsoft has also handled it poorly.

Ordinarily I'd agree with you, but during a new console launch? In 2005 ATI didn't release the Xbox 360's GPU official papers until October. It was also when we learned just how close the Xenos GPU was to the X1800XT, even better honestly. I also remember all the additional information that came after about the Memory Export and Displaced Subdivision because it was ATI tech that had been under NDA. And ATI didn't announce the X1000 family until after that NDA as well. See a pattern?

I agree the speculations have been wild, but this only happens once every console cycle and then it's done.

Definitely an MS employee's family member. Feel sorry for whoever it was' job that got lost because of it. Shitty kid.

That aside I really hate Metro. I'm absolutely positive that the lack of any uniform layout is designed so that the user will have to search the screen and notice ads.

Does anyone give any weight to a company rep doing company PR? Mr. Penello works at MS--what do you expect him to say?

Hint: Read the MS PR Grift posted. "Performance differences are greatly overstated." You can obviously assume MS PR is taking the most positive spin possible, hence it is obvious fact MS is even conceding that:

The PR is conceding there is a performance difference.

The PR is conceding the competition is more performant.

What MS isn't conceding is the difference is as big as people claim. OF COURSE MS IS GOING TO SAY THAT. That is an ambiguous metric PR can sling mud in all day long. But you know you are in a tough spot when you have to concede the competition is faster AND cheaper.
