Believe it or not it IS actually fun to engage in HARMLESS speculation. It's NOTHING, it's just news to pass the day. When a little news or yes, speculation comes into our possession we share it and our enthusiasm about it with each other. Truthfully, I don't think anyone here is even taking it that seriously. We've been mired in such negativity for so long that when hear anything positive we don't accept until we hear official confirmation. That's probably WHY the speculations drag on for as long as they do.

Seriously man, look at what you've posted. It's an honest to goodness impassioned reaction. You are THAT personally offended if I engage in a little tech spin? You know I've seen just about every negative crapbrick posted in this thread. Whether it was accurate or not, I don't think I've seen you respond to any of that in this manner. In fact you've often left your approving mark. Why so angry now? A few speculations get posted around here, some people come into the thread and talk about it's probability or it's unlikelihood for a day or two and then it's forgotten. Along with it's validity if it had none or was later dis-proven.

Why do you care what we speculate about? Even if we're deluding ourselves, what does it cost YOU in terms of blood and treasure? lol

And at least be honest, this isn't about fun. No one in here (certainly not me) can stop you from having fun no matter what's being posted. Your being very disingenuous. If you thought this was really hilarious as you said you would get a bowl of popcorn and sit back and laugh at the whole spectacle of our UFO sightings. We're not doing anything wrong here by having this discussion, and I don't see anyone locking any threads when they become overly negative either. So give it a rest. Drama not needed.

I am certainly not angry more than I am annoyed at what you and a few others have turned this thread into. Why are we devoting pages upon pages on this stuff? Why are we not talking about games anymore? This is my escape from the boredom of work and all I get to read now is this pointless drivel.

That actually sounds like a great idea. So go ahead scoobs, start an X1 Games thread. Make it clear that no one should make any hardware related posts there.

I'm all for hardware posts, I'd just appreciate it if they were real ones, not made up stuff if that is at all possible.

And I also said it a few pages back, speculation is fun. It's only possible at the beginning of a new cycle. We all know the PS4 is a very capable machine and it won't be bad thing if XO catches up. And even if not, we had some great times :D

Now back to games: why haven't we heard ANYthing about D4 (Dark Dreams Don't Die)? I wonder if it will be Twin Peaks all over again ...

Could be the best Crytek game ever, although that doesn't say much ...

Is that a rhythm game? Press A at the right time to get legendary hit! I am not sure about the best game... Crysis is pretty damn good.

Ya..Crysis was pretty fun, 2 was awful and I didnt even try 3. I can only imagine its as bad as 2 was.

Crysis 3 was, imo...Worse. I at least forced myself to finish crysis 2. But i couldn't even manage that in the third. Such a boring game.

That should give you an hint, Crysis 3 is more of a Crysis game than Crysis 2 was.

Crysis 3 was fine, but too short and too much on rails. Shooting mechanic was near perfection though ... [but man, did my GTX670 sweat with everything maxed out @ 1900x1200]

Crysis 3 was short, less chapters if you compare it to Crysis 2.

It's been confirmed that at the Eurogamer Expo, Phil Spencer will be hosting a special conference for game developers on the Xbox One on Thursday September 26th at 12pm BST. This presentation (as it's being called) will be held exactly one day after the NDA will be lifted, and also the day after AMD will be presenting their new line of graphics cards at their own scheduled event in Hawaii.

Phil Spencer's developer session (as well as other dev sessions) WILL be streamed online on the Eurogamer Expo YouTube channel.

Amen! I am so sick of coming into this thread and all I read is "XO is more powerful", "No, PS4 is more powerful" ..... who cares!!!

Wut? In here? The only people who have really gone at each other's throats in here has been Grift and Optimus. But other than those moments there hasn't been any XO vs PS4 showdowns. There's certainly been disagreements over platform options and some still remain angry and/or distrustful of Microsoft over that. But there just haven't been any Gaf style smackdowns over hardware comparisons.

Ironic that this site used to be called Xboxyde, it doesn't feel as pro Xbox as it did when I first joined.

Moral to the story scoobs? Don't speak too soon. In a couple of years the comparisons might be more conversation worthy. The secret sauce jokes are interesting to hear because everyone should KNOW that Microsoft will have their own special set of tricks for the X1. Something that set the X1's development tool chain apart.

Last of Us was OK looking on my PS3, but why is it I noticed a lot of screen tearing, that I don't notice on some other PS3 or Xbox 360 games? Last of Us was not the best looking title this generation. Lost all credibility with me on that statement. I don't know what the best looking title this generation is, but it is not Last of Us.

By the way Last of Us had horrendous enemy AI.
