Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Since 6903 DaysNow as a lot of people have pointed out the games will come and e3 this and e3 that. That still leaves me with a bitter sense of microsoft not really gearing this hardware towards me. I expected a lot more in terms of games, talking tech, showing what the new hardware would actually do. But no, they didn't and that isn't exactly instilling confidence in me right now.
Seems to me that the people that are having positive reactions to this are either not gamers, or they are excited for reasons other than gaming.
Basically what i'm saying is that for me as a gamer, all they did was shit all over the place with this reveal and they will now have to make an EXCEPTIONAL pre-e3 conference to win me back. Gesture driven remote control? Think i'll pass, Don.

Since 6903 DaysWhy aren't they just focusing on creating good content that people want to buy, at a budget that's realistic? Why aren't we seeing things in games to promote going legit over piracy? Smart online functionality, like the Souls game for one, is á great way of letting online funcionality add to the game without it feeling tacked on or being a DRM system that sodomizes the player for NOT being a smelly pirate hooker. It baically goes, "hey you can play offline if you want to, and it will be good, but to get the most out of your experience you should take it online". I think that's probably a stronger deterrent to piracy than any old DRM system. But maybe i'm just being naive, i don't know. Games like The Witcher and services like GoG seem to be doing alright without any kind of DRM.

The thing is, it's all a chain reaction.
There would be no online check ups if the console didn't have crappy policies regarding used games, the console wouldn't have horrible policies regarding used games if it didn't install games without the need for the disc.
Basically if MS make it so the disc is required to launch an installed game, as it currently is now on the 360. The other issues would just melt away. Would it stop you jumping between 3 games at any time like they wanted? Yes. But really, who does that anyway. And more importantly, is it a feature worth screwing over consumers and giving yourself a horrible image?
I just hope MS sees that and changes everything.

It's a matter of principle really.
I am perfectly happy to insert a disc into a console to play a game, how lazy has America become that they won't even get up off the couch any more. (no offense lol)
