Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

Zip :)
Suffice to say, it's for the Wii. They're saying in the magazine that they wanted to make the game when they could evolve the gameplay in a really significant way, and with the Wii their prayers were answered. It was a control system very close to something they envisioned a long time ago, but a real plan to execute it never took form.
The director Takeshi Iizuka was involved with the first game, and with this he hopes to use the control system and the visuals to make it even more surreal and bigger than before.

I think i'll do a silly dance
*does dance* :)

- A sequel wasn't made earlier because they didn't want to evolve the game graphically, they wanted to evolve it from a gameplay standpoint, make it more surreal. With the Wii they were given this chance, and they took it.
- I think it says Sega will make the official unveiling at the beginning of April.
- Two players mode.
- Online (not discussed, it sounds like could be just WiiConnect24 and no online gameplay).
- Nightopia revisited with more human characters, more enemies and bosses, more tricks and a bigger freedom of movements.
- Sonic Team is doing the game.
- Takeshi IIzuka is in charge, was the director of Sonic Heroes.
- Wii exclusive, with no idea to port it over at the moment.

I just figured it to be so utterly impossible that I still wouldn't believe it when like.. ten different magazines hinted at the same thing and two of them had actual artwork of a redesigned NiGHTS on the cover.
NiGHTS is one of - if not THE game I rate highest out of the proverbial Lot. A sequel that promises to be much more than a high resolution replay, on the Wii no less.. It's just mind boggling to me.

I always remember they intended the first game to really feel like you was flying in a dream. With this I hope they succeed!?
I may even unshrink wrap my saturn.
PS will the little creatures that evolve be in again?

At the end of the first game when NiGHTS is gone, the kids (depending on who you play as) start out on a platform high up in the sky with the city below.. and you need to jump off it in an ultimate display of courage (or stupidity to the cynical)... you'd fall, seemingly to your death... and then come spinning up again.
You were flying.
Now it's difficult to convey the emotions at work there.. and even more difficult to experience them for the first time today with the now rather low res and rubbish looking original. But there was subtle meaning in everything in that game that made it the very first "interactive message" to me. Rez, Lumines and Katamari Damacy/shi are other games that have left something with me afterwards.
I think in all those cases, one can't really hope that a sequel can live up to everything you felt about the first one, essentially rendering any attempt to create one useless. But unlike those games, this has a unique chance to feel different. To be different.
Oh, ho ho ho... I ramble randomly. In the process of grasping this I think. :)

I found a video of the thing described above.. And I can't expect it to have the same emotional impact on everyone, but at least you'll know what I'm blabbering about.
Notice the red orb he gets after he jumps, that's courage. :)
Oh and also, there's the final boss fight aswell as the full ending sequences attached to this clip.
Enjoy!

It didn't show one of the best bit of the game play though...The Vortex maneuver.
Where you have to do a quick 360 and it creates a vortex that sucks everything in.
This was integral for racking up big score.
Anyhow great Vid and just adds a little more to my Now most anticipated game of the year :)

My memory is not so good anymore :o
I can't wait to see the new one running. I hope they keep the gameplay tight and don't expand on it too much!?
No need really.

There's a mini game in Raving Rabbids though where you're supposed to draw circles around a certain kind of animal to collect them, and that seems like it could work.. Given that this is ANYTHING like the first.. Which frankly his comments suggest it isn't.
But let's assume it is, hypothetically.. You could have a free control over him on the analogue stick on the nunchuk but also use the pointer to do specific things like loops. Um... or maybe he simply follows an on screen pointer around, so you draw a quick loop and press A to have him speed up into it...
I hope it's like Mario Galaxy though, with bits where he for instance grabs hold of something and you can select him, pull him back and release to catapult away and stuff like that. I also hope they expand on his transformation abilities.. Like when he becomes a sled in Frozen Bell or mermaidish in Splash Garden.
ARHRgh! So excited about this!! :)

Getting real enough now for me to grasp its realness. :O
Even though I'm aware that it's really real already, only now does the excitement actually begin to rear its shiny head.
