Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

Announced last summer, the sequel to Fight Night Round 4, entitled Fight Night Champion, finally gets a first trailer. And once more the boxing title from EA Sports looks really impressive while the cut-scenes present in the video suggest a more scenarized career mode.
Update: Image gallery added.

Next out is EA's Fight Night Round 4, the sequel to one of the best sports games this generation. Many changes have been made and the most impressive one is the new physics engine. Hit detection is much better and clipping issues aren't common anymore. Aside from that, the game looks really pretty and the Legacy mode has gotten a bit less automatic, more decisions about the career can now be made.

In celebration to the game's release, Electronic Arts captured eleven screenshots of Fight Night Round 4. They show glowing bodies, large splashes of sweat, gloves that fit perfectly the shape of the chins they're knocking and a referee who really wants you to look him in the eye. Fans be warned. Update: launch trailer uploaded, hits hard.

The demo of Fight Night Round 4 is now available for those who preordered the game in the US on both 360 and PS3, but I still found a way to get it on the 360 so here is a video showing one full round. I'm definitely not pretending I played well, but at 60 fps it's still a nice watch :)
