Microsoft released this bunch of images and artworks from the US version of Ninety Nine Nights, presenting four of the six main characters.

I've received in the mail this morning a preview version of the PAL/US version of Ninety Ninety Nights. As previously announced the game seems strictly identical to the japanese version, but with english voices and subtitles. I'll let you guys discover the new voices of Inphyy and Asphaar in this video showing a sequence you should all know by now. Remember that this is still a preview build, and that hopefully the lip sync will be better in the final version. Another cutscene at the end of the first leven was completely out of sync, so I sure hope this will fixed.

While shopping for Enchanted Arms, I also spotted the Asian version of Ninety Nine Nights, with japanese voices and english text/subtitles. Here is a video from this version, showing more or less precisely what's good and what's wrong with this game. In no particular order: Great and fun mass destruction, very good graphics (this is not always the case), slowdowns, terrible lip sync, nice music, and boring/annoying bosses. And as a bonus, the lack of checkpoints in a game where levels can take 45 minutes to complete, with bosses that can kill the player in 2/3 shots. Ninety Nine Nights is most definitely one of the most frustrating games on 360, and it's missing so little stuff to actually be one of the best games on the system. A terrible shame.

Ninety-Nine Nights has been released a few weeks ago in Japan, but the localized version for our markets is still upcoming. While waiting for the dubs (please keep the japanese voices as an option!), here is a trailer we mostly all know already with english subtitles. Let's just hope Phantagram will use the time until the US release to fix the most annoying issues with this game.

As always now, Microsoft did a video montage of a bunch of Xbox 360 games, some showing some short bits of unseen before gameplay footage.

I know I'm a few days late, but I wanted to show more of Ninety Nine Nights than the usual Inphyy/Asphaar combination. I took the time to finish Inphyy's campain (the last mission was incredibly annoying) and unlocked Myifee so I could show you his first mission. I also wanted to mention how average the CG video at the beginning of each character's campaign are. The realtime ones are almost better...
Even if I sound negative, I'm still enjoying the game. It's just far from perfect, especially for a big budget title.

Xbox 360

Ninety Nine Nights is already back with the next level of Asphaar's story. This time we go back to the now well know demo level, but seeing all through the eyes of Inphyy's brother. You'll discover Asphaar's charged attacks, and see how I lamely misused the old spark attack (640x360 version only).

There it is finally! Ninety Nine Nights is most certainly the game I've talked about the most in here. Does this game live up the hype? Unfortunately the answer is not a straight yes, but it's not a resounding no either. I'll go into more details tomorrow morning when I put online the 720p parts of the first video, but you can already feast your eyes on the "low resolution" version, running at 60 fps of course.
If this video is popular, much more will follow. Hopefully one per day.
Update : 720p parts online. Update 2: My quick impressions are now online.

While waiting for my own gameplay videos, unfortunately not until monday at best, here is a video showing some of the characters on Ninety Nine Nights in action. There is no sound, and the aspect ratio is all kind of wrong, but it's still watchable and enjoyable.

Famitsu this week had 4 pages about Ninety Nine Nights, along with a review and a quite low 31/40. Here are the scans, and a 2 pages advertising of the game.
