Electronic Arts releases a trailer for Battlefield 1943, its vintage online war simulation. It gives us a glimpse of the tranquil island of Guadalcanal, its translucent waters, sandy beaches and daily bombings. Charming.

At the end of the trailer it says July 9 for both Xbox 360 and PS3.

I'm sure i read that they have gone quiet on the pc version, so don't hold your breath.

and it's due out on the 8th for XBLA and 9th for PSN

They are making some changes to it, that's why it was delayed till sep
