Am I alone in thinking that this, graphically, doesn't look all that great? There's some nice styling, and obviously the lack of AA which will be fixed at the end doesn't help, but the wall textures look horribly low-res and blurry, and the amount of detail seems to be pretty low. There's some nice lighting in pics 4 and 5, and if you can break the floor like that in real-time rather than it just looking like that when you first go into a room then that's very cool, but other than that I'm not impressed from a technical standpoint.

i see what you mean zom, but to be honest as long as it looks lush and plays great i dont care if they use little tricks to make it run better, as long as it has a steady frame rate and a great story then i'm sold.

I don't know why but the character design on a these screenshots reminds me of a Time Splitters. Anyway looks great. Looking forward for a new trailer or maybe demo :)))

Hehe, some Condemned-like action in the last pics. Who cares about graphics in a game like this? As long as the frame rate is solid, and looking at gameplay videos the graphics are impressive, I don't care if it doesn't beat Gears graphics. The story and adventure is going to be much more appealing, but those water effects will be hard to not stare at.

I wouldn't doubt this game's graphics. Graw 2 looks like crap in screens (not too impressive in videos) and then looks amazing in the demo.

I'm not seeing a high poly build either, but neither was the game "Condemned", and look how gorgeous that game was when it was in action. With all the lighting tricks and texturing these days, the amount of polygons don't warrant the games visuals as much as the past generations of games. This game is going to look phenomenal once we get to see the enviroments. I just hope the protagonist encounters someone who is sane to interact with and not just have to pull a lever, find the next clue, and shoot anything that moves. Eventually that would become repetitive, but I could be wrong if the story and pace lives up to the game's potential.

To all of you who think the graphics are terrible, why don't you have at E3 Walkthrough (it's in the Bioshock link at the top of the page) and then tell me if the graphic are bad, and remember this isn't the finished project yet

You have to remember that alot of pics are blow up and would not look like that in the final game. You also have to note that many pics are touched up too, but for these pics, that is not the case. Anyway I believe this is running on
Unreal Engine 2.5.

The game is suppose to be like a open world type of game, so that may contribute to the fact that some of the textures are not the best textures.

Games tend to look a lot different in motion because many of of the particle effects are not noticable.

I personally think it looks freaking amazing, stop watching the crysis videos because it will ruin your perception of every other game.

Bioshock graphics >>>> almost everything else on the market
