What pisses me off about people who are venting their 'dated' opinions on one of the daddy's of the FPS genre. A game that kick started every other boring dull online shooter to date and yet they say a Store/XBL game looks crap, boring, sh** etc etc.

Call of Duty really has funked this generation of gamers up hasn't it.....

One trait that has been completely lost in the console community is the "good game" after a match. 80% of matches I play online with my pc end in a "gg" text comment. Simple detail that goes a long way. I recall a handful of games on MAG that ended with "gg" following the match.

On the flip side this game is definitely going to be a hoot. I was a hardcore CS player and it is all shooter, no bs. You can't take the heat then stay out of the kitchen!!!

Will I get this game? depends on price, but as it is a DLC title I doubt it will be much, hopefully not more than Section 8 Prejudice.

But, I can say I love the bloodsplatter on the walls and ground, very nice.

I think the haters will be generally surprised by this game, i mean spawning in base as opposed to CoD's sporadic system might go down better with people who are sick of been owned on their respawn (Black Op's take note!).

I hope it takes off, it deserves it....

S&D is by far the best game mode in Call of Duty.

Why hate that? I only type it when I had a good match to give a compliment to another player or because of the fact that I enjoyed the game.

GG does not have to mean skillwise but can also be about Fun.

Okay hates a strong word.. I do think the majority of pub play doesn't really warrant it though. Ya know.. people so infrequently are playing for their team and are usually just off in their own little world. But I always say glhf and gg in organized games.. and that's not about skill, more setting. I think those situations warrant a higher level of sportsmanship personally. And again.. I think hate was the wrong word.. I more disagree with its frequent use. Many people say it at the end of every round of every game they play. It sorta loses meaning to me.

In organized matches its normal indeed.

And people will always (ab)use certain words. The thing that bothered me the most was the frequent use of the words "Noob" and "Cheater"
People always blaim someone for using cheats when they can't beat them..

I must say that i am very interested in this new version. I don't even want to know how many hours i put in the original game 10 years ago. ;)

I think they should have done a major overhaul with this game, introducing new game modes, campaign story mode, a whole new system similiar to Call of Duty Elite. I know that most CS players probably don't like change but it would be nice to see something like that.

Funny thing is, CoD itself is looking outdated aswell right now..

CS never has been about the best graphics, it's all about pure gameplay.. CS:GO looks like a updated CS:S.. The gameplay is as basic as can be, highly about pure aiming skills (getting those headshots etc) and tactics (especially in clanmatches) combined with fund mangement (to buy or not to buy when low on money).. That it's gonna be on consoles now aswell takes away a bit on the pure aiming part I guess, but I presume it's not gonna influence the PC version so all will still be ok..

pure skill only... although the advantage of having money to spend on the much better guns and armour "perks" kinda help.

Wonder how far that cross-platform play stretches...ps3v360?
