Here's some new screenshots from the next Halo Reach DLC: Defiant Map Pack. It will feature three new maps for both competitive multiplayer and Firefight: Condemned, Highlands and Unearthed. The Pack will be available on March 15.
Update: Gameplay videos of the Condemned and Unearthed Maps added.

Yes! I've heard from one of the hackers that got into the Reach disk that there are 5 DLC slots- 4 map packs and 1 new armor pack. This certainly looks like a glimpse at the first pic! Nice catch!

I've really neglected Halo Reach online. When it first came out I found it really hard to keep a game going; more often than not, folks would just leave before the game began. Does this still happen?

used to happen in Halo 3 all the time. Not experienced it much in Reach..not played for a while. I really like firefight mode though

It does still happen, but I think it's more of an issue with connection issues- not quitters. I say that because it's happened to me (getting disconnected before play starts but after selection) so I can only assume it happens to others. It's less frequent than it was, but it's not gone entirely yet.

You should definitely get back to it b0vril. It's the single most perfectly balanced multi-player game ever done. And now that Call of Duty took 90% of the kiddies away from Reach... it's been SO much more enjoyable.

You just have to put out $20 for two map packs or else you'll have a segmented multiplayer base. But yeah. It is much more enjoyable now. No more SWAT.

SWAT playlists still exist. They just don't mix em into Slayer playlists.

343 is doing these maps right?

It will be interesting to see if they did anything that would keep the map exploits down so that the campers just can't park in spawn zones and kill at will.

BTW, pic #9? All player blue needs is two well lobbed nades for an easy overkill.

no i think bungie are still doing the maps, didnt they say they will allow a section of the staff to support halo reach after release with DLC's

there was no bungie logo on dlc trailer this time, only 343 and Microsoft GS. sure there could be bungie people behind those maps, as I heard some of them left bungie to work at 343

@b0vril Its definetly worth going back on with most of the match types being less twitchy than COD I find it much more enjoayble plus as Kethmach said, not as many whiny kids on these days.
