Developed by Tommy Gustafsson and Andreas Rehnberg, Huntdown is a hard-boiled arcade shooter reminiscent of 80s action crime movies. Huntdown E3 2016 Trailer release

The E3 2016 Trailer for HUNTDOWN is out - a hard-boiled arcade shooter coming to pc, consoles and mobile:

"In the future, mighty gangs rule the streets as the police desperately lost control. Crime is king, and the authorities put their trust in hired guns to solve the problem. A price is set on each gang leader's head. It is the time for the Bounty Hunters. It is time to hunt 'em down."

HUNTDOWN is developed by a Swedish team founded by Tommy Gustafsson and Andreas Rehnberg. They are passionate about arcade games and retro games and grew up in the 80s, feeding Commodore-computers with cassette tapes and floppy disks while trying to do some magic. As two founders figurates in the centre, the rest of team share their passion, resources in graphic design, level design, sound engineering, programming and QA forms a dedicated team with an equally clear vision.

Nostalgia is all well and good but that really looks rubbish. Every bit the mobile game it is.

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (4 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (4 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (6 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (6 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (6 Days ago)
