GSY Video PC Xbox One

Quite a few people asked us for more footage of Sea of Thieves, so Miguel went back to Microsoft and got us 2 more 60 fps videos from the PC version.

This game could be HUGE for Microsoft. I think this will be a huge hit on Twitch/Youtube.

Bingo. Games that allow people to be creative and explore, especially multiplayer games, are huge right now. Also pirates are dope as hell.

Yeah I get that....I am really not into the youtube crowd. When I see people with mics and headphones shouting and receiving millions of views I kind of puke honestly. Anyway I also love pirates and would have loved the Risen series to be a great RPG (which it was not)....but if Microsoft wants to make a game about sailing and sinking, at least make the fluid physics a bit more realistic (despite the game being cellshaded and cartoonish). Water clipping through the ship polygons is very 1990s.

Who was that in the first video that was talking with a shit Irish accent thinking he sounded like a pirate? Fair play to the woman for telling him he sounded like a cock doing it.

We're not quite at the stage of having super computers in a console just yet.

What's the point of Destiny. Any way creative games are the norm take Minecraft for example and that ark game.

Considering they are only showing ship battles, who knows what you can do in the game.

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (4 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (4 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (4 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (5 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (5 Days ago)
