Deep Silver has released new screenshots of the beautiful, cold and frightening Metro Exodus. The official E3 trailer (4K/60fps) is added along for those that were bothered by watermark from the Xbox feed. The title will launch on February 22 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

This game looks gorgeous and knowing how demanding the first 2 Metro games were and this being semi-open world, I'm sure this will bring most PCs down to their knees. But most importantly, the gameplay looks absolutely fun, 4A Games really polished it compared to the first 2 games. Though it sucks it will only come out next year.

PS. Q1 2019 is really stacked, I'm sure a lot of companies are starting to spread out their releases throughout the year in order to have a better chance of success, but part of me still feels many games just don't want to go against Red Dead Redemption 2 and other high profile games like Battlefield 5. At least they have more time for polish, which is always a good thing.

I heard the shooting felt very floaty and rough in the floor demo. Hopefully it’s all fixed after the delay. I loved the first two games a ton so my hopes are very high for this game.

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (5 Days ago)

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (5 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (5 Days ago)

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (6 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (6 Days ago)

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (6 Days ago)
