I wish they'd return to the little destructible mud huts from BC2. That was the best Battlefield ever.

Didn't Gears do something like this with sand/snow? Obviously this is a hell of a levolution, but not the first game to implement level-changing things...

Surely, they will want to make this not so easily to abuse cause I can imagine a lot of kids going for those big game-changing events from the start and thus not making it more than a gimmick. And not really changing the game as you almost immediately start with a flooded city, a big ship crash,...
I'm not sure how any of that is unbelievable. Although certainly unique to the genre. And I imagine there will be some rounds where these events are triggered super early or not at all.
Although I'm not sure how true that actually is. There are only four support pillars to take out in Shangai. It can't take much.
The more you think about it, the more I'm thinking that BF3 was DICE just getting a game out polished and playable enough using the new tech. Console limitations probably had a large part to play in how that game panned out. Now they don't have those restrictions, so the result will be this game, and I think this game will be the game BF3 was intended to be.
