Video PS4

We are finally starting with our Showfloor videos for this Gamescom, and DriveClub is certainly the best game to begin with. A second video will follow in a few minutes.
Update: Added a third video showing some involuntary crashes by a rather bad player, but it's interesting visually.

It's a stunning game. Hoping it plays well.

Shame you can't hear the real sound.

Just like in Motorstorm, theres always a sucker ready to robbe your 1st place at the last second ;). The "gameplay2" video does look good.

The graphics are stunning. But how does it feel to control the car?
I would assume it is 80% arcady just by looking at the cars reactions. Actually I think its the only way this game could be. Its another gorgeous Evolution Studios arcade racer with fast pace fun. Any attempt of making this a Sim would blow the game up in my opinion. This guys are good at what they do, which is exactly this - fun and good looking arcade racers.

TBH it way better if you see how FH2 car is driven in the off road sections with those speeds in open filed smashing things around. DC is not having mechanical damage though but I do not think anyone like their car to look messed up after the race.

Just watched the third vid and i agree with Xoar. Awful pinball physics bouncing from rail to rail, off other cars etc. Noob friendly gameplay tho, why brake for a bend when you can grind the rail with no speed penalty whatsoever. Plus at the end of the race after all the bouncing and scraping all you end up with are a few light scratches???
For a quick fix pretty looking p2p arcade racer it does what it says on the tin but thats about as deep as it gets by the looks of it. Yeah ill still buy it day one but cant see it holding my interest after a few weeks unlike FH2. My opinion.

You can still have an arcade racer with decent physics...See the PGR series or Horizon series.

Those are arcade racers as well. In fact fh2 is NSF, burnout category. It looks super fun though and will bring lots of non racing fans into it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e1Q02SZkVCM

Gfx and car handling DC is far superior. The way car moves is much better in it:

WOW...lets just say I cant disagree with you more. Horizon 2 has much better physics and handling based off the vids you provided. DC looks to be the one closer to NFS to me. Lots of bumper car-type gameplay in it. And while Ill say that DC edges FH2 in overall graphics, its only due to the fact that DC is doing less outside of graphics than FH2 is. Its the price you pay when you go open world, but graphically neither one is "far superior" to the other.

I don't think either one of these games should be associated with the phrase "better physics and handling" seeing as their not sims... just a thought.

I hear ya...thats why I said "based off the vids you provided", which were of two arcade racers. FH2 has legacy in Forza's physic's system...DC looks very twitch and the AI looks very rubber band like.

This game might have nice graphics as far as consoles go, but the gameplay just looks awful like a step above a tablet racing game besides, Forza Horizon 2 looks like it's much more fun.

The lighting in DriveClub is second to none though.

The shit this game takes from the gaming community must really bum out the developers. They can't do anything right w/ this one.

It's a shame horizon 2 exists. Otherwise this title might have been a rental. Just not ambitious enough.

DC is a good looking game but Gameplay is so Boring , FH2 is much better than DC , gameplay is more important than graphics but as a matter of fact FH2 has both : better gameplay and awesome graphics ...
FH2 > DC

I don't think these 2 are comparable but anyways if I had to.

FH2 has more content, open world and probably more fun But DC is miles ahead in gfx, car models.

This has such an incredible, almost scary sense of speed. And the visuals are jaw dropping. This game has seriously benefitted from the delay.
